Same deal as the hot pink buggy, this was another part of the lot. Reanodized the chassis, nose, shock caps, and motor plate. Forgot to do the nose tubes DOH! The rear suspension was painted blue and black, some of the front was painted and some dyed. The painted stuff cleaned up great! I still would like to find a left front white arm but the rest turned out pretty good for a mutt. I needed the early towers and few other little things so its an early B stamp offset battery chassis with thick towers and cvd's. The first pic shows where it started, it was pretty rough- but not as bad as the buggy! This one cleaned up good enough to stay white
Yeah yeah i know it's missing an e clip that arm is temporary!

Yup, Marlo was kind enough to hook me up with an original and a couple TBGs for my moody conversion, this was a spare

Oh, I see. I know of Team Blue Groove but i didn't know they made repop bodies. I thought all the first gen stuff was just what was out there. How authentic are they? Do they have the AE on the gate?
A real one fits directly over the top of the repop

The logo is there but the detail is gone. You can tell its a repop

Welcome to 10talk, you've got some catching up to do. Do a search for team blue grove.
Haha yeah, hated by most. Personally they have always treated me great and I will continue to both feed them old bodies and buy repops from them

Don't get me wrong. I'm glad to know I can buy a replacement body that will actually fit the truck and I won't cry when I tear it up.
P.S. I don't want to catch up. I want to stay in 1994. The last year of the real dogs.
I probably haven't seen them because when I look at the RC-10 stuff, my searches usually start off by clicking used. I almost never use nos stuff with the acception of misc. nuts, bolts, and black ball cups. I recently bought a black nose plate for a RC-10 that is sealed and am probably just going to resell it. I just cant bring myself to taking nos stuff out of the pack.
Ok over a year ago I got this truck from Asa, all black RPM parts, T2 arms--Nice truck but it never
seemed to spark as much interest from me as I thought it would. I have changed it at least 3 times now, all stock parts w/CC chassis, worlds style...

I have about 3 projects in the works and really need to get further along with at least one of the, but figured I'd share the mock-up of parts so far for this modern goldpan buggy build. My first build went pretty well, but was a bit too nice to...

Hah it was Andrew the owner of MMR in St. Louis park who was driving so I could take the video. He is a pretty awesome driver.
I was rooting around Ultimate Hobbies yesterday and found a can of Pactra paint that flips colors. They've probably been around for a while but this is the first time I've seen them. Anyways, so i got a can to try out but of course they don't have...

I have had several bad experiences with old pactra paint cans. It appears they leak gas. Because of the lower pressure they then sputter rather than produce a fine spray. Make sure you try the can before getting near the lexan
For some reason I was content to watch everyone else build theirs when these first got into our greedy little paws, but didn't feel the motivation to start mine! I also waited for a few of the hop up parts I wanted for it and the painted body and...

Great work!, came together nicely, paint is awesome!
My 9 year old son and I have decided to resurrect my RC 10 #6010 which I dusted off from the basement. I need a new controller, battery, motor and looking to upgrade to an electronic speed control. I’m thinking that these are the essentials...

Jconcepts has new tires and wheels that have a vintage look but with modern tire technology.
Judging by the caps and seals, those look like bottom load shocks. I'd just clean them and install new o rings with the old hardware and spacers.
As with so many things, the wife found it in a box and said get it working or get rid of it.... so I'll be rebuilding my childhood XXT! No, not a Sport, KE, CR, or G+. An early 1992(?) XXT, complete with Novak Rooster & GreenMachine. Nearly stock...
