Wrong tyres and some overheating issues but overall it's first race went well.

Ended up on my roof 3 or 4 times

but still happy with 3rd in the B final.

I was the only person running brushed (19 turn) and all the other cars were 24 or more years newer!

I only had rock hard Yokomo dogfighter tyres at my disposal but I think soft 2" CAT full spikes would have helped a lot.

Looks like the old lady was going just as "well" as the more modern cars in these peculiar conditions! At least the suspensions aren't too stressed

Ok i was not going to start a new build thread but i have run into some questions i can not answer lol

Finally I got these restore projects started. I have been collecting parts since may this year and I think I have all that's needed. As my other builds, these two cars will be built by using mostly second hand parts (in great condition).

Well, call me greedy but now I have a Runner, Shelfer and NIB Turbo Optima Mid Special.....I think that's all I need! :lol:

Here's a pic of the runner and shelfer together, I just need to fit the roll bars and am waiting for my W-5031 rears to...

I picked up this Turbo Optima Mid Special off a local online auction site for pretty cheap.
It was sound and mostly complete,but still a little rough around the edges.

Ummm...The body,undertray,decal set from Marwan and the OTW-9 parts tree that had the battery straps and undertray mounts.

I got this from a random magazine pile at the local hobby shop back in the day when I had my SE. Thought the Mid fans out there may want to see it.

One thing of interest is the car in the test may be a prototype as you can see it only has a SWB...
