E clip logs

Post by REMJ666 »

These things suck...You buy e clips and you need one so you try your best to separate them and they start coming apart in 2's and 3's...Now they are even harder to get separated...Does anyone have a tip on how to get them apart easier ????

I use a #1 x-acto knife to separate the clips.

I always liked the logs. Funny story....

My first 1/12 car that used e-clips was a 12i. I was building it all by my self. A step or two in it wanted an e clip for the front suspension. I looked eeeeeeeverywhere! None! I was so upset, couldn't do anything without finding a clip. Went to the true value store, nothing that small. Went to a buddy that just got an rc10 and I borrowed a few from him. After a few more steps and hunting around for parts it occurred to me that they were there all along...rolled into a log. Felt stupid.

...and that was the only mistake I ever made. Crazy. Lol

I prefer to buy the traxxas grab bag of e clips. They fit all the same either way and have a better look than the black.

I have some for my Circuit truck but I don't like the chrome on the vintage stuff...Unless it is a custom build of course...
