Nitro powered RC10 buggy.

Post by 8rad »

Made you look........

Seriously though, of all the gnarly builds on here I am surprised no one has made a GT to buggy conversion.

Though this is the one someone needs to do a repro of:

That's another...the one I was thinking about though was a black tub with all minty white Team and GT parts. I think someone here might have picked it up off of eBay.

I did one just a few months ago.

^^^^^^^

Do you have any more details on that? I had never seen it, but looks very similar to what I came up with. Did this "sidewinder" kit also use GT parts? Or did they have some wacky way of sending power to the stock trans?

That's all the info I've got. I thought I had some more pics of a buggy with that conversion, but can't seem to find them now :?

The Brahma kit was out several years before the GT was. It also predated the A-Main/Dudgeon kit. ;)

The Moody kit was for 10T and fit buggy as well, used stock trans with belt drive and was out before the GT...
Here is mine:

So it flipped the trans around? How does that work out with the bulk head and shock tower? Did they supply those things with the kit? The GT is pretty much just an inverted rear drive & suspension set up with a different bulkhead.

Kind of a neat kit, like a miniature go-cart.

This is my rendering of a pre-GT gas truck. Could easily swap the suspension to a buggy.
