Good article on lithium, batteries, and Tesla. It really looks like a Tesla's battery is about the size of a traditional gas tank.

Re: Batteries on the News
I hate that my generation grew up celebrating that Edison jerk. Tesla was so far ahead of his time, and an actual inventor. I think he would be proud to see his name associated with the cars they are producing. Although he would have them running wireless power for free
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

I miss brushed motors in that hazy, everything seemed better when I was a kid, kind of way.

Amen to that, no RC without TeslaI hate that my generation grew up celebrating that Edison jerk. Tesla was so far ahead of his time, and an actual inventor. I did a biography on him in middle school back in the 80's and he became one of my heroes so to say. you can thank the cold war and McCarthy for removing all pro soviet material from our public education system. Tesla being a Croatian immigrant he was removed from the history books and Edison was celebrated as the father of electricity. Most think Edison invented the light bulb, but rather he used scientific methods to perfect an existent idea. Edison was a big fat poser and took credit for other peoples work and had no morals or values beyond profit and ego whereas Tesla was a humanist and altruist trying to help advance humanity. In the end Edison will be viewed with infamy and Tesla will be revered and admired.
Just goes to show how the winners write the history to suit their needs.
