Yachty's Vintage Schumacher Collection

Post by yachty »

Ok so I have been reading this forum for a couple of years but a move and now having a man cave means I can slowly get to work sorting out my collection of used Schumachers and share some of the info I have with fellow collectors.

I plan to update this with the progress to date

CAT SWB / Box + Manual / I have 90% of the car (Bumper & lower chassis needed) box artwork planned
CAT XL / Manual / Left over parts box artwork planned
CAT XLS / Box + Manual / In Restoration planned for a masi shell
Bosscat Works / Box + Manual / Needs restoration box artwork planned
CAT 2000 / Box + Manual / My car origional CAT needs converting back from an EC and shell
Cat SXII / / A mess
CAT k1 Aero / Box + Manual / My race car is on its way1

C-Car / Box / Missing some minor parts
Fireblade Evo / Box + Manual / Rebuilt just awaiting shell painting
Cougar SVR / Box + Manual / New Build
SST Sport / Box / A Mess

The one I would like:
* Better SWB keep dreaming
* Schumacher Daytona

The one's that got away
RC10 Team my first race car, Tamiya Terra Scorcher, my first car 2 XLS form my collection

This car is the cleanest of my collection but still nervous pulling it apart and seeing what was inside early this week. Looking forward to doing these 5 rebuilds. In regards to this XLS we have I believe that it has an origional diff that isn't stripped result! I hope someone here can answer the layshaft question as this isn't the black plastic it should be in the manual and it isn't a nylon looking MMS one. Could it be Parma? I am also intreguid by the C-Car chassis question to. There loads of experts on here so hope someone can help me learn.

Nice collection you've got there! And the box is ace :D
I would be very surprised if your chassis is not homemade. Layshaft is Nodis.

Nodis now there is a brand I have never heard of googled it and ended up back on here with another cat that also had an Nodis diff! Anyone got any info or adverts on this company? I found parts of the origional layshaft in the small box of spares that came with the car black plastic as per the manual.

Thanks for the info
