Just won this bad boy on ebay.
fantastic condition
just need tyres, (hmm where the hell will i get those impossible to find things)
maybe a new windscreen
then paint it up and decal it

pretty happy with the find
excellent chassis and original controller and servo

Tires will be hard to source but the ones you have don't appear bad in the pictures from what I can tell.

There are adapters so you can use Blackfoot/Monster-Beetle wheels/tires. I have some for mine. They're vintage parts, but they are out there.

Does anybody on here own a Marui Big Bear?...I've got a nice semi restored one that I need a few bits for. I saw on ebay once somebody was selling a CD with the decals for the Bear on it. I was bidding on some original decals so didn't bother...

Wondering if there's a solution to finding tires for these Big Bears? The originals are extremely hard to find, and I likely wouldn't want to drive on them anyways. Is there something that fits from another vehicle? Either a tire and wheel combo, or...

So I was lucky enough to find adapters for the rear wheels to fit Blackfoot, Monster Beetle, etc wheels/tires on the back of the Big Bear.

Wondering how the fronts would mount? They *appear* to just be bearings, with no weird hex nuts or anything....

Ok looking at the simularities between the big bear and the wild willy from tamiya I got to thinking are parts between the two compatable? I need a gear box and some other parts.

I think with me it might be because I saw it that way when I first looked up the truck before I bought it and it stuck even though I know it is Marui. I will spell check myself better in the future lol

Had one as a kid, and I picked up a non-running example a couple years back. I think now is the time to get it going. I don't want to bash with it, just poke around the front/back yards.....since parts are expensive and hard to come by.

I’ve had this thing since the middles 80’s from brand new. Not sure what I was thinking back then painting it the way I did :lol: . Also, I remember battling with popping steering ball cups off every time I drove it, and had started my own teenage...
