Hopes and dreams... there are many threads on cleaning white parts. Once they're yellowed its over. I've taken to very fine sand paper and dremel bits to scrap the yellow layer off but yo uahve to be REALLY good to get it smooth like it was originally

People have scrubbed the hell out of them with all sorts of cleaners from bleach to simple green. Nothing really gets them white like they were when they were new. Your best bet is to pick a color and dye them.

I had pretty good luck with this stuff called Iron Out rust and stain remover.
I got it in the toilet cleaning area at the grocery store .

It's a white chalky powder , I took a plastic bowl with some hot water and added the Iron out, I then scrubbed the parts with a brush, I also sprinkled some on the parts as I was scrubbing , it kinda made a pasty scrub.

That got off most of the heavy stains .

Then I soaked all the parts in a mixture of laundry detergent and bleach, for a couple of hrs.

Then I rinsed them in water.

Here's some before , during , and after.

The older I get , the faster I was.

Wow, that turned out very nice. I also assume that those parts had no UV discoloration on them?
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Not bad. I wonder if grandma's denture cleaner would work?

I have tired denture cleaner and I don't think it is worth it. Not much of a difference, if any at all, when compared to a good scrubbing with Simple Green.

I don't know , there were some parts that looked really yellow and brown , that I didn't think would whiten back up , but they did .
I had a bunch of parts that were died Orange , that I have been bleaching for a while know , and they are starting to look like they will be white again.

I didn't cut the antenna, I just opened up the Rx, and coiled up the extra antenna to the length that I wanted, I just hate dealing with long antennas , especially if its just for show , thank god for 2.4 ghz .

If you are doing a car just to show here on the forum, photoshop works the best.

I tried my wifes white shoe restorer with little success and much mess.

Great job with the iron out Chromey.

Does anyone here have access to milkweed?

I use to see it all the time back in WV but the only thing around here are pines and mosquitoes.

My grandma was Cherokee and she use to talk about how they used plants like milkweed (some species are poisonous) and blood-root to dye clothes and things.

No he's implying that he just fixes the photos in photoshop so they look better then they really are... nothing with you.

He was dropped on his head as a wee lad.
