Thank you so much! Its tough finding any body for it. I did find a Porsche GT2 and the plastic hardware, but a little pricey. Might just sell this and get something new that has parts available.

Current options from the re-release Tamiya range include the GT2 as you've found, the Porsche RSR Type 934, and for something a little bit different, the hard-body Lancia Rally 037. Unfortunately, to get the body, the ancillaries, and the decals for any of these, it's going to be costly. If you're happy to go your own way, you can just buy one of the Porsche bodies, and just make do.

The biggest problem with selling the chassis on it's own is that without a body, you're selling it to someone who will then be in the same situation.... so you'll need good sales skills to make anything.

For a different angle, you could try sourcing just a standard length TA03R tub and belt.... then any normal TC body will fit! It's an option to consider, I guess....

EDIT: You'll also need a top plate as well....

Just checked the prices for these parts, and it makes me think the option isn't a great one. The top plate is only a couple of bucks, belt is $15 or so.... but only found one tub, and it was way too expensive!

This is strange, because back when I had heaps of TA03 parts, I could have provided all these parts for very little..... so I would suggest, if you want to consider the conversion route, put up a Wanted post and hopefully find someone with lots of parts sitting around with not much value attached to them.

Thank you Alex. I'll try that route as well. Where did you find the conversion parts :?:

Wow, i would have grabbed that gt1 body for sure. I found a gt2 shell and the plastic tail for under a $100. This was the second RC car I ever bought. I would have bought 2 of them of I knew the prices were going to go through the roof.

Going to try this route for now. Ill just go with a solid color if I can't find decals.

Thanks Dan. I will just shell out the extra for the original then. I wasn't aware of the difference with the aftermarket body.
