Full custom classic RC10 build
Fully custom made gold pan chassis, front and rear bumpers and shock towers, with modern front and rear.
Wheelbase has been shortened to the vintage length of 260mm.
Would it be able to be run in vintage class (because of the wide track)?
What are your thoughts???

Re: Full custom classic RC10 build
it would not be allowed in vintage class because it's essentially a custom b4/b5? I don't know the exact model base of the arms/noseplate/tailplate. there are really no vintage parts on it, more importantly, the geometry is based on current tech, which defeats the spirit of the vintage class.
that said, it's a beautiful custom build.

Re: Full custom classic RC10 build
Cheers...the front and rear are from the FTX Edge buggy.
I've tried my best to duplicate the front and rear shock towers using 2mm black fiberglass, modifying the original rear shock tower to screw my fiberglass to it. Rear shocks are Remo hobby crawler, front shocks are tamiya touring car (used whatever I already have). Apart from making my own chassis from scratch, that's about it. After weighing , it comes in just under 1.3 kg, same as my re-re gold pan. A track test revealed that it does retain much of the handling characteristics of the re-re with the added stability of the wide track.
