Anyone know the differences between the Traxxas Image .12 and TRX .12 engines? Parts interchangeable?

Nothing is interchangeable. The image was a pretty terrible little engine with a glass (not literally) connecting rod. The TRX was a whole new design.

It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

.18 is considered small block? ha! when I first got back into the hobby a couple of years ago I was amazed! .12 and .15 were the only things considered for 10th scale back in the day. now RTR's come with these massive engines!

There is no gap...

This is really cool, a functioning, tiny v8 engine. They had a writeup about it in the latest Car and Driver magazine.

Sad story about what happened at the foundry. He used to advertise the 427 in RCCA during the 90's. Personally I liked the look of the 427 better as the 609 is pretty modern looking. Regardless he is still an extremely skilled craftsman.

Well, I tore down the Paris Picco G1 this evening. I put Paris in quotes because I am taking the guys word for it. There is nothing no where that says Paris on this motor. Someone has been in it, but hard to tell who. It does have a hand scribed...

I got an old 1/8 with a Super Tigre. It has a large G with a X21 inside the G below that R.E.

New from Italian company Laurus is the EC1 Colibri, a unit for bench testing engines. Suitable for a wide range of engine size past 3.5cc, it puts the engine under load during running to simulate on track usage...

I'm beginning to think I might be running my engines a bit too hot. I've read all kinds of things that operating temps should be anywhere from 190 to 240.

I have an OS.12cvr engine and all the gaskets are brand new. I was having trouble with the engine not running correctly and I realized I had a small leak on the gas tank. I read that proper pressure is needed to run these engines so I bought a brand...

I won this car with an impulse bid. I think it's pretty cool! It has a handmade aluminium chassis. A little work and it should be a unique car. I have no idea how it will really work though. :mrgreen:

I converted one of my jr's to mid motor back in the day. It worked really well especially on carpet ovals.

I place the motor plate on the other side...this way, I could run my motors in normal rotation. I also had to modify the rear bulkhead so...
