Does anyone have a Big Jim Racing Master Stock motor? Does this look right? Malung Motor endbell?

I have a green Master Stock motor and it has a green EPIC endbell. All of the Big Jim labels I've owned had a chrome holographic label. But there might have been running changes with everything throughout the years.

It's got a holographic label, and seems legitimate. I'd just never heard of the Malung before.

I saw that motor on eBay a while back and made a post in the Facebook brushed motor heaven group. Nobody was able to add any valuable input. I've never heard of Malung, and it's strange that Jim would use an off-brand like that.

Damn maybe there is something more lucritive to repro than bodies. I have a couple copies of this book somewhere.

for electric motors, its a decent guide for maintence and such.. most of the info is super redundant, and alot of it you will never use in a million years.

rctech.net has it reposted their with all the extra repetitive stuff pulled out for free.

I have had this book for around 8 yrs.

Mr Lone Star (Paul) seems to like this book since he asked if I had a copy.

I have read it over & over again and has every answer you could think of to do with brushed motors including stock motors & silver...

95% of it is in the pdf... the rest is about secret alignement tricks and comm diameter... 8)

Would still love to see a scan though! Who's gonna be the next rc10talk hero after IncredibleSerious and all his Schum scans??? Thanks again Alex!!! :)...

It appears to be a 155 card set of rc related cards similar to 1:1 racing cards. Does anyone have a set and a few pictures?

Try vintage aerials for older views of the area. It doesn't work everywhere but some pics are pretty cool even with the excessive watermarks

The 05 stock was too slow for my tastes back when I was a young teen with my BB. Unless you want to keep it as it was the stock motor, maybe sell it and get something new with the money? I quickly upgraded to something more powerful. I don't know...

I'm trying to figure out a motor combo to run in a Clodbuster at next year's vintage nationals. All the classes require 27T motors. I don't know of any adjustable timing or zero degree 27T motors. I was thinking of trying a pair of Sport Tuned...

I asked him and he just said that he wired one for reverse rotation and didn't do anything about the timing.

Thanks for the tip Temple, I gotta keep an eye out for those motors.

Interested in peoples thoughts on the buggy vs truck tranny for racing stock.

Vintage class in Australia is either old school brushed 27T stock motors or 21.5T brushless. Our tracks are outdoor dirt and a mix of grip levels, but not indoor clay...

Figure out what final ratio you want then figure out what spur and pinion you would need and see which one is easier to run. If you need to buy anything(spur/pinion) for either setup, it's probably a wash.
