Was thinking the same thing, saw a brand new 40th 6-gear, complete, for $89 with free shipping.
A whole car? or just the chassis?
Sorry, the complete 6-gear transmission parts only, the asking price is usually $100+ for those used - atm.

That seller was selling the numbered chassis for $89 as well. It's good to see these being parted out and existing gold pans being sold for less than extreme prices.

Ordered April 15th, my 40th is finally moments away from arrival. Pretty stoked despite that wait.

#1506 has landed. Crisp box, all's well.

Has everyone’s order number been the same as their chassis number?

No, in fact it would be very impressive if they matched somehow. The boxes are random, so far low numbers from amain and higher from AE direct. Local hobby shops have been high and low.

Funny thing is that they are not selling at an inflated price and they are offering free shipping.

Crazy thing is they sold (78) in one day, they're out of stock on ebay now too.

Michaels has (5) still but raised the price to $399.

Artificial scarcity worked for the diamond pricing.

The numbers have no bearing on each other but it might be a fun game to play. Who's order number is closest to their Chassis Number? I had Order 2152 and Chassis 2188 only 36 off
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Order 2628
Chassis 1506

Seems to be no correlation.

Here's the 40th between an A stamp on the left, and a C stamp on the right, the 40th has a luster to it, more of a gold hue than orange.

Am definitely glad I got one of them now, was worried about the 40th being a repeat of all the 2013 stories, the 40th seems solid and comparable to my originals.

Just noticed the 40th is drilled for the Stealth gearbox too, pretty cool of them to do that, and makes me wonder if something is coming next.

Has anyone with AE direct order #s in the 3,000s had theirs ship? We have an order in the 3,300 range Not seeing any movement and don’t want to trouble their customer service line. Thanks!

Liquid RC is also showing stock:

https://www.liquidrc.com/item/ASC6007

$379.99 plus $0.99 shipping and they don't collect sales tax.

Very tempting. :D
