Original protech body vs. new protech repop?

I tried searching and didn't come up with what I was looking for, so... For anyone who has an original body and the new re-pop protech's, what are the main differences?? Are they thicker? Any help would be Great!

From memory the new shell is thicker with over spray film, has more defined lines and straight not wavy window netting, great for a runner but not fantastic if you want a bang on accurate restoration.
Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.

i cant really figure out the search either... i have a hard time even finding my own old posts and usually just track backwards thru my post history...

anyway, the new protech is ONE MILLION times better in regards to being a crisp mold and the lexan not being paper thin in some areas. the new body looks like proline made it. i wouldnt be suprised if they do.

collectability and rareness aside, the old bodies were thin as heck in some areas (like behind the side pods) and not evenly sculpted on both sides of the mold. it has always bothered me that the bottom of the sidepods on most my protechs were thin enough to tear with my fingers if i wanted...

Err, I typed "protech" and "differences" into the search keywords box and up it popped as the second result in the list. why, am I doing something different to everyone else? :lol:

Probably not Terry, you just seem to have the nack for finding stuff or coming up with info that no one else has. :D

Does anyone know what the original protecs are selling for? I'm guessing that they shouldn't too much more since the repo ones are still avilable.
