Associated Electrics 1/12 Scale Products Catalog Oct 1983

Post by a01butal »

I received a new product catalog today and I wanted to share it with all the RC12i and 12e collectors out there and for that matter anybody else that enjoys these early cars. This is the product catalog that has all the part #'s listed in groups and it is quite extensive being 8 pages altogether.

In order for the jpeg to be small enough to upload(less than 256k I believe) I had to scan the images at 72 dpi which doesn't do much for the clarity so if anybody has any suggestions please let me know how I can improve the end result. Thanks.

I've got the next version, when the IFS was introduced. Someday I'll get to a scanner...

Very interesting.

I did not know that AE had “R-T-R” versions this far back. Yet more evidence that there is rarely anything really new. I don’t know much about the RC100/200/300/500 1/8 scale on road nitro stuff, were any of those available as RTR?

And the 1/10 Off-Road Items: “Watch for coming attractions!!”
One of the more accurate teases I’ve ever seen.

I don't ever recall any of the 1/8 scale coming factory direct RTR. The only ones I have seen were all kits.

Jay, I might have figured that you'd have that. Are the seals broken?

Thanks again for the info Mr Lexan. Is that the version with the radio, is it also in that box? Or is it sealed like it looks and you don't really know?

Al, no the seals are not broken.

Bongo, yes, it is the version with the radio and the radio is included in the box. It is sealed, but I have (or maybe I had) another with the seals broken.... I can't remember.

I am not sure if you have seen this pic, but....... (don't take it as bragging, please) I figured you guys might like it. No, I don't have them all anymore.

Not at all. I just think it is an impressive pic. One of things were you will never see that many in one place again.... I think it cool. Kinda like the last airshow I went to in Michigan, there were seven B-17s there and flew together..... one of those things you will never see that many in one place at one time in your lifetime again.

Will do Al.

Yep, all from the same guy.

Yep, sold one to sealed city (actually two). We were friends back in Michigan...... I have seen his collection first hand and put my paws on each of them, it is impressive.
