Easy enuf fix...take a 40-50% pre-order tag to make sure you at least get an acurate number for repop. I personally have been here long enuf to know you wouldn't 'skip town' with our money and that way if the people don't follow thru with the rest of the money you aren't out as much so you could start bidding out on ebay at a lower price to get more interest going...just a thought though. I tried talkin the LHS owner in on doing this for special orders and its been keeping the shelfs free of the specialty items that seem to raise the price on everything around to make up for the time sitting there.

it pretty obvious that the interest in off-road far outweighs on-road/oval on this forum.

I might have to actually finish my BBT sprint project.
If I remember correctly the "L" in the TeamAssociated RC12L stood for Losi, as Pops helped design it.

OK, a little update on the possibility of this race.

I talked to the new track owner (he has been there all along) and he is all for this race happening. We discussed when, and I would think that late November or early December might be best. 2 day event, a Saturday and Sunday, with the track available for practice on Friday. It is a beautiful and large indoor carpet track located about 4 miles north of downtown Nashville.

The only stipulation with running here is that EVERY screw on the chassis bottoms must be countersunk. No exceptions.

We were talking about the cutoff year for the chassis and seemed to think '96 would be a good marker. Not because of the DS, he actually didn't even think of running those...

Here's what we came up with as far as classes:
1/10 pan car
1/12 pan car
1/10 gearbox (including DS's)
1/10 4wd touring car
1/10 F1
1/10 mini

Let me know if we can get enough people interested in a race, and I will make it happen.
Any additional reasonable suggestions are welcome. I will have to come up with some more regs as far as motor and tire usage goes. I believe pan car may be limited to 4 cells, but then again, we haven't completely worked this out yet.

Trophies will be awarded, and each racer will get a T shirt. Concourse held before racing with trophies. More details to follow. 8)

I would go, it's only 2 hours from me. Likely won't run anything, but I will be there to support the 10talk team!
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

I'd be interested. I need to blow the dust off of the old 10L. Might even get a DS ready by then, too.

Still looking at on-road and oval classes?

Thunder doesn't have an oval right now but we might be able to swing something if there was enough interest.

The more I think on this one, Gearbox is probably going to be the funnest class. Does anyone know where wheels for foam for rc10's can be found? What style bodies should we allow in the classes?

Here's what I thought:
1/10th pan :
Any saloon, IGT, or gtp body that fully covers the tires when viewed from above vintage look prefered
add on wings allowed

1/12th pan:
same as 1/10th

Gearbox:
Touring bodies or sports car bodies (mustang, mercedes etc) Must cover tires comptetly when viewed from above
No add on wings, only trunk spoilers

Mini
Same as gearbox
No add on wings, only one provided with the body

Touring:
190 or 200mm touring car, Although I think the original YR4 was a little wider, which is fine
any touring body, vintage and realistic preferred

Foam tires or rubber tires allowed in all classes

I'm not sure on motor, and batteries, but Brandon and I can sort that out soon with the track owner, probably stock or 17.5. Maybe have a mod class if there is any interest

This is just a rough idea, I'm open to suggestions
