Anyone going to CRCRC for the Winter champs?

Post by Brandon G »

I will be leaving Nashville Wednesday night, the 21st, and will be attending this race. It's at the Columbus Fairgrounds, Ohio. If you make it, stop by and say hello. I will be driving the White Armada with the Silver enclosed trailer. :D

I was surpised by the track size, I assumed with them using 2 buildings it would be pretty big. Guess too many VIP pits in the track building? Also seemed like the drivers stand was on the short side instead of long. Disclaimer, we ended up not going, darn economy, just going by what I saw on liverc. And please don't take anything I'm saying as being critical, just observations, I know (sorta!) how much work it must be.

Next year is going to be great I hope!

I watched a bit on liverc before heading on over, the track is bigger than it appeared on screen. There is more room in the building (it's a basketball arena) but they only used about half for the track. I suspect the fact that they only had two days to put it together may have had an influence. It could be quite different for the nitro race, having a week to fine tune things.

Sure was nice to be in an actual heated building rather than in a barn with a bunch of jet-engine heaters running (and stinking after running out of K1...)
