I picked this up from gixer jay about a year ago. It was not cheap but I had to have it.

Ok so I was fortunate enough to score an NIB TRX-1 from a member here at a very reasonable price. Thanks. You know who you are.

What do I do with it? I mean when I build it. I already have a from NOS parts shelfer, but building this one to run...

Finally, here are some pics of some of The Squadron .

One Car is a runner, the other while not mint, is the shelf, or at the moment cupboard queen....

As per usual, original bodies are like chickens teeth. The runner gets the privilege of a bandit...

Yeah Neil I think this one will have to be for the shelf. I have a very sweet near new KO CX-111 which I could mount in it with some 1700sce batteries and an old KO receiver and servo too.

Finished the car over the weekend, mixture of oldish electrics. Still prefer the feel of brushed motors
Will give it a couple of runs before running next Sunday at an out door winter series meet

Of course. I bet it took a while to scan. Those are great articles. And you're right really shows the progression of Traxxas and what a successful company they were and why they are even more so today. I'd forgotten Vehlow tore it up with the TRX1...

so I scored this on craigslist and it seems like the more I search the more I find this is the one that everybody wanted back in the day. It even came with the hottest engine O.S. had back then the .21RX-B nib and even has a really cool O.S. engine...
