My 10LS (and it becoming a Pro10)
Well, I'm pretty sure it is a 10L... I had always wanted one. This one came up on RC Crawler.com.. got it for $35 shipped, with a TON of vintage foam tires.
Will someone please tell me if this is an Associated front end, and if not, who made it?

Re: mi 10L
Looks like a 10L chassis but definitely not an Assoc. front end. I can't tell you who made it but someone else probably will pop in.

Re: mi 10L
cool-- I didn't think it was factory-- there seem to be holes for a different (OEM) setup-- when did the IFS become available? I'm wondering if that's what the holes a re for. I've seen alot of 10l's with the IFS.

Re: mi 10L
We relocated to Fort Mill, South Carolina back in December. We finally got into our new house about 6 weeks ago. Still unpacking.
Yesterday my Jeepin' buddy took me down to The Hobbystop in Rock Hill, SC. They have an outdoor offroad dirt and a below grade banked paved triangle on road track. I was floored! Of course, I instantly thought of getting a 10L built and on this track.
Well, I have since picked up another 10L (with a bunch of hop-up parts on it) and a independent front end kit. With a brushless system, can I get a 10L to keep up with the contemporary cars? I am not looking to win the A-main, just don't want to always be the guy in last place.

Re: mi 10L
well, a dream finally came true-- got to race a my 10LS. Since I first saw pancars in Competition Plus BITD, I have always dreamed of running one of these.
Picked up a re-pop Bolink(?) body, slapped in a 10.5, 2S setup, and bought some BSR tires for it.
This was at Barceloneta RC Complex in Barceloneta, PR. It is a beautiful track-- get there if you can!
This thing was fast and fun. I was able to do the same laptimes as the 200mm Nitro Sedans.
I took some time to set it up-- using what I have learned from 12th scale carpet racing. IT was great from the first lap. Rand BSR pinks in the rear and Purples in the front

Re: My 10LS
going full Pro10 with this-- adding AE Macro side shocks and a TC center shock.
Drew up a new pod plate and Factory Works had it to me in two days! Check them out for OEM replacement parts they stock or a good price on your own custom designs.
Gotta love the mess.
gonna run 1S saddle packs and a Hobbywing Justock 10.5 combo

Re: My 10LS
looking to loose a little of the weight being added, I took about 3g out of a spare left rear hub. I have a lightened diff hub on the way that I plan to do the same to.

Ben reading thought the Pro10 thread on RCTech-- gleaning som good info.
One thing I discovered is Lefthander R/C and Mudslide Motorsports-- they are RC Oval suppliers and thus have a bunch of parts that fit the 10L's

Re: My 10LS (and it becoming a Pro10)
titanium axle with lightened hubs and new Kimbrough gear with ceramic balls-- wow are those things smooth!
picked up a set of Teflon pivot balls and new retainers from Lefthander Racing -- looking clean
Had to relocate the rear body mounts -- thankfully I had these tall ones in the parts bin

The Newest Hobbywing Justock 10.5 combo came in last week--
Got it all together and ready for some track time this weekend.
The 14ga motor leads got warm from a few runs up & down the street-- have some 12ga on the way.
