I honestly don't know...I plan on her being a light runner but all my builds the last few years seem to stall out when it comes time for electronics or body paint. The way I see this playing out I will build the car, probably install some hobbywing electronics and then it will sit waiting for me to paint the body...I suck at painting bodies...so it will end up a ready to run, bodiless, shelf queen...possibly the saddest fate of all...

I have one for running and one to be kept MIB. I may decide to pick up another for a shelf queen. :D :D

Here's my classic. Just wanted to share. I still have to paint the driver, but can't seem to get a good pic of the original, so not sure how to paint him.

I have 2 classics (both currently sealed despite temptation to open).

I'm trying to resist opening in haste, but I'm likely to open 1 to build for the shelf, and keep the other NIB. Originally I wanted to build 1 as a runner however I have some old RC10's to fill that void.

The new built shelf queen will have some customising though...nothing too outrageous, however I'm thinking of getting all the aluminium parts stripped and re-anodised dark green. Always wanted to do this as opposed to powdercoating.

Cheers,

Steve

The colour looks spot on :D
Did you use the Tamiya PS-19 and if so, did you back it with any other colour ?

its tamiya ts-56 brilliant orange. its a lacquer, but it stuck really well and ive squeezed the body and twisted the wing to see if it would lift or crack and it hasn't. I've searched everywhere for a orange that comes close and this color looked and turned out to be right on. it's going to be a shelf queen anyway, so i won't have to worry about messing it up :D

I may have changed my mind now that they are so limited...I am thinking I will build it but it will be a box art shelf queen packed with some vintage electronics I have (Novak T1X and probably a green machine stock motor plus a Magnum Jr. Radio) but once I build it I will probably buy a used runner off eBay and freshen it up with new parts...
