Factory Powdercoated RC10 Chassis'

Post by FasterLouder »

I am about to come into possesion of a factory green powdercoated RC10 chassis.
I know next to nothing regarding the history and specs of these chassis-Can someone please school me on when they came out, what they were available for and if they were available to the public,or just Team drivers?
Thank you all,in advance.

As far as I know they were available to the general public and released in the early 90's. Neon Lime Green was not the only color offered by AE, you could also get the chassis and nose plates powder coated in (according to an AE catalog) Neon Red, Neon Hot Pink, Blue and Yellow.
I have seen the green, blue, yellow and hot pink (also thought they did Orange?).

From what I remember, it was about $70 for the chassis, nose plate and motor plate.

From what I remember, it was about $70 for the chassis, nose plate and motor plate.
Chassis' were $35.00
Nose Plates were $11.00

Motor Plates were only offered in Gold or Black anodize

Prices are from a 1992 parts catalog
