or maybe 'A Bodge Too Far'. an ebay purchase from France that I might have paid too much for but I see hours of tinkering ahead of me.

A Grasshopper transmission, Holiday Buggy body, and 'customised' chasis by someone pretty good at sheet metal...

awhile back, my brother-in-law told me that he had a hilux and a a super blackfoot when he was younger. after technica started that thread about the heavy metal class at the nats, it got me thinking. so, i gave him a call to see where they were and...

I have had this kit for many years now, as well as all of the hop parts that are being installed. Finally have some spare time to build this buggy. Yes, BUILD it.

First of all, I realize that the Tamiya Astute was an over/under engineered buggy...

I was waiting for this to happen to give me an excuse to switch over to deans, apparently it came sooner than expected.
No fault whatsoever on my end, it just couldn't handle 7.2v running a mod brushed 19t :roll:

Yep 8) 1 of the L3 oval's is switched over to deans now, working on the other as we speak. I think the motor and esc are running a bit more efficiently also.
