That is totally awesome Rick. I wouldn't be able to stand not opening it so it's a good thing it's not mine! That would spoil it's uniqueness. If I were you I'd keep it as is, signature intact, then find a beater on the bay to satisfy your need to know what's in the box!

for now it will stay in the box I dont care about the signed part, its not like I have watched him. I bearely know who he is? as soon as my Tax return gets here I will be ordering a NIB XXX cr. Amain has them for 200.00 I will build that one. I am redoing a nice XXX Kinwald 1 I bought from tulsa right now. I will post pictures as soon as I take some.

I would say opening it would kill the collectible aspect of it since it is signed on the plastic.
But then it would kill you not to see the goodies inside.

I didnt buy it for the colectabilty of it I bought it because it is a NIB XXX cr graphite. if I open it I will cut out the signed part and frame it or something. it was what I was looking for at the price I was looking to pay. I will let it sit for a while I have a lot of projects ahead of it.

here is the XXX Kinwald 1 I am restoring. I have found a lot of NIP parts pretty cheap. I am in need of the proper Blue Wheels if anybody has a set.

Have you guys ever read Pat McManus? He wrote a short story called Metamorphosis. It's all about how you buy one thing for your spouse and by the time they open it it has changed to something completely different. Like from a set of diamond earrings to a new fishing pole. Highly reccomended reading.
