Should look real nice I was thinking about that body but I might go with the street stock camaro.

Re: andy's rc10 buggy custom build
Are you going to run this in a Bomber class? I'm currently modding a B4 for that class, but since I have a spare McAllister Camaro that's what I'm using. Where did you locate an Andy's buggy chassis? What is the Andy's number on it? Looking for one for a sprint build.

The seller is a member here but he lists them on eBay every once in a while. Just go to ebay and find the andys bulkhead and look for his other items often.
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Re: andy's rc10 buggy custom build
oh ouch no i would not cut one of the andys chassis up i dumped 50$ on mine lol
im sad im using up my last vintage proline front rims on this thing
need to find some front tires to fit the rims
get some bearings for the front rims
then its just playing the waiting game for the andys body mounts
and alum bell crank
oh and wait for the stupid hobby store to get the damn 3/8x5/8 bearings for the outdrives on the 6 gear
anyone know how they did a rear motor guard on th e andys chassis there is no mounting holes

Re: andy's rc10 buggy custom build
Yeah, I do, but I'm going to wait in the faint hope that I may find a damaged or previously "modified" Andy's chassis. No sense doing the damage myself to a beautiful thing...scr8p wrote:he wants one to cut up and mount a sprint car cage on it. simply pointing it out.

Re: andy's rc10 buggy custom build
its a shelf queen i dont plan on running this one
it would be a shame to mar up this new in package andy's chassis
and since its designed for the 6 gear really not a good runner anyway
i wanted to build a andy's buggy
but since the chassis length is longer the regular viper buggy will not fit
the andys kit is actually meant to convert the old gold pan to a monster truck(it was released before there were really any st/mt on the market)
local hobby shop has a crap selection for bodies (only buggy body is a stock b4)
and only truck bodies are traxxas crap
so i ended up going with the chevy body
with that said i had to use a duratrax rear shock tower and its a tad tall so ill end up swapping it out for something a scooch smaller so the body will mount flat

Re: andy's rc10 buggy custom build
man i kinda want to cram a stealth on this thing and run it
the suspension works like butter and its sooooooo light
all done with tthe chassis (justa bit of adjustments on the turnbuckels)
i went old school on this one and just used 4-40 threaded rod
final build
andys truck conversion chassis
andys front shock tower
andys rear a-arms
rear duratrax evader shock tower
original rc10 rear bulk heads ,associated 6 gear tranny with full bearngs,front/carriers,c-hubs,and front wide track a-arms
b2 steering/servo saver
losi front xxx shocks in the rear
duratrax baja rear shocks in the front
associated factory team hardware kit
3/16 axles
front proline #2523 rims , and losi #7231 slider tires
rear traxxas #2474 bandit rims .with traxxas #2470 bandit soft compound tires
