Triple Top Cat Trouble
I think it's time for a little Schumacher therapy so I dug my Top Cats out with the aim of getting them squared up and finished.
So what you see on the right is a mint condition new built car that I bought a short while ago from my good friend RedScampi, all I'll be doing with this one is fitting an original body and wing (which I have a couple of in the loft) and painting it in a suitable retro theme, probably box art.
In the middle is a very lightly ran example, apart from a couple of light chassis scratches it's in top condition.
On the left is what I think is a Composite Craft chassied car, the components are runner condition but the chassis appears to be unmarked and to have never been run.
I plan to swap the components from the middle car onto the CC chassis and vice versa so I'll be left with a standard new built, a mint condition Composite Craft car and a runner.

Experience is that marvelous thing that enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.

Very cool Topcats
I always wondered about those composite craft chassis. Do they widen or increase the wheelbase of the buggy at all?
Paul.

Cool! Great inspiration for me to get on with my TopCat project, I look forward to seeing how you get on with this trio especially what colour schemes you decide upon for the shells

Ah one of my many Achillies' heels, I really struggle to find paint schemes that I prefer to the unpainted look. I start out with the best of intentions sometimes even to the point of actually picking a scheme but when I reach the point of paint I falter so oftenDerbyDan wrote:especially what colour schemes you decide upon for the shells

I always thought the front of the Top CATs looked unfinished, but you have a lovely collection of them !
