Just started playing around with rc with my grand kids. My brother gave me a black tub rc10gt about a year ago that I've been trying to learn on. Thanks for all the info on this site, saved my butt a couple of times. The boys and I are having fun with the GT, two losi micro-t's and a t-maxx clone that was given to the 12 year old. I'm on now looking at how to tune the GT. I'm loving it, just wondering why it took me 54 years ( minus the years before rc ) to see how much fun it can be.
Tore the car down and trying to think up some kind of motor mount. Can't believe the weight difference without the nitro motor and cage. The car is in very nice shape.RPM parts all over.Shiny cvd's.Looking for front foams to match the rears.

My search skills might be failing me, but what is involved in converting a nitro RC10DS into an electric DS?
Maybe need:
B or C stamp chassis
Buggy stealth gearbox
Motor plate
Rear shock tower
Rear bulkhead
battery cup
Anything else?

It looks like son is keepin' it nitro after all. 😁 An electric DS in need of some cleanup is going to find it's way to me after all.

So I've always loved these buggies but getting an electric one always shoots past my budget. I've seen some nitros go cheaper and wondered what would be involved in converting a Nitro to electric?
I picked up an Integy Front Bulkhead for a Nitro Rustler #T6755 (aluminum), for $20.99
I needed one for the Stampede VXL 2wd (would have been #T7952), and that's all they had other than stock plastic.
It looked pretty close to the Traxxas stock...

Lowes did not have a very large Metric selection, but I did find a 3mm machine screw (slotted round head).
I would have preferred a socket cap or phillips, but that's all they had. I went with a length that just protrudes thru the show...
