Cougar2 Works @ KNOX/Melbourne Vintage enduro

Post by Bormac »

Ive just returned from a trip down south to Melbourne for a 2 hour vintage buggy enduro meeting at Knox Melbourne.I ran my Topcat but took this car down as well for kicks. Wow this car really was a handful and if you dont beleive me you can ask Darryn (RETRO R/C). Ive been busy with painting shells right up till the trip and this was the last one I did.Possibly my favourite being that it incorperates the chassis colours as well as the carbon fibre. I didnt run this in the enduro seing as it was a little too new for the 90 cut off date but ran it the day before in practice anyways.

....and who can forget the classic line up of competition. The day was a blast with team member Darryn and myself making up third place after both our motors blew 6 minutes before the race ended.

I wished my local club ran off road again but they are so stubborn and continue to run Touring cars, I would love to run a vintage class but to be fair cant be bothered to travel any distance to race in a vintage class. Jason that looks cool outdoors though.

I can only hope that in years to come my club would go back to offroad again.

Hows the CAT XLS coming along.

Such a pitty shumacher stepped out of offroad, they had such nice bodies.
(Not that I don't like the rest of their cars, but the body stands out)

Schumacher are designing a 4wd as we speak and a 2wd will follow if there is sufficeint interest (and the 4wd makes money probably :) )

Great pics! I love seeing the vintage stuff having a go at the track. Fantastic paint on the Cougar.
