Schumacher

Post by Triniboy »

Not sure if anyone has seen this already or has anyone spoken to Kamtec about it

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/57-Chevrolet-LWB-Mardave-V12-Banger-body-Kamtec-074_W0QQitemZ310028619694QQihZ021QQcategoryZ2565QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Lower down after the Yokomo body says Schumacher XLS

Cant believe I sold my XLS to Bormac and Kamtec was working on a body all this time. Maybe someone can confirm that this is actually a CAT XLS body

Yes kamtec are making repros of the XLS and Procat, all thanks to jeroen, took him nearly 3 YEARS!!!!! to do though, speak to jeroen about when they are due but as you can imagine its a touchy subject!!!!

On another note he's had my yokomo mx-4 bodyset for 2 years!!! and still nothing kamtec in my opinion or SH&T!!!

I wish I had known how long it would take before I sent my TOP CAT

shell but at the moment I don't even have my original.I just wish kieth
would get back to me but I haven't heard anything since January.

It's a shame he's so slow to sort things because the shells I've bought from him have been great quality.

Its a shame I didnt know you guys were looking for Schumacher bodies sooner. I sent my cougar2 shell to Keith years ago and although it took him what seemed forever to repro it he came through in the end. Yes he does have a Procat bodyshell already and the CAT XLS shell should be available real soon if not already. Keith emailed me a couple of days ago and offered me some CAT bodyshells. He already sent me a Procat shell but its not the original Schuey one though. This one could be a Frewer or something as it has air scoops behind the back of the window.
As for the Topcat,my mate Antony here in Melbourne has been doing repro's of that shell for ages, thats why I have so many different Topcat shells in the past. He also does the Schuey Procat, Cougar and Cougar2. If you ned nything drop him an email-

when I recently trimmed a Top Cat shell from Anthony, I discovered that it was very brittle and quite soft, I even doubt he used genuine Lexan??

It sounds like it might be PETG, I believe most of the early Traxxas bodies were PETG. I never liked the stuff.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Great XLS bodies available now, just need to convince Bormac to sell me back my XLS CAT with the flames.

Only Kidding Jason the car looks great even though its probably only a small bit of the original car I sold you.

Only cars I kept was a well used YZ10 and the Losi JRX Pro SE. I think I'll be out of the game for a couple of years and hope most things will still be available when I return.
