Whoa! I'm the only member on-line...

Well, I guess I'll take the opportunity to tell an off-color joke... A man and woman were in their living room and she was throwing peanuts into the air and he was catching them in his mouth. Their daughter and her boyfriend walked in and since being distracted the man turned his head. A peanut land...

Re: Solder station recommendations.

Guys, I wanted to share a solder station recommendation to the RC10Talk nation. I have to say I never looked forward to the soldering part of our hobby. I hated it. I had a decent Weller standalone iron, I believe this one, for years: https://www.amazon.ca/Weller-WP35-35-Watt-Professional-Soldering/...

Re: Thinking about dyno's for brushed motors

I have been using that rpm meter on my Le mans motors for awhile now. It works good but reads some odd #s sometimes as it jumps around...eventually showing actual rpm So I ordered that same rpm meter and also have a nice multimeter. What do I need to supply a specific voltage going to the motor bei...

Re: Thinking about dyno's for brushed motors

I'm still collecting stuff but this is what I come up with to attach the reflective tape to. I took a smaller spur gear that I had laying around and opened it up just enough for a pinion to fit snugly. I haven't glued it together yet, but I spun it up on a 15T modified. It spun true, without any vib...

Re: Thinking about dyno's for brushed motors

Now it's my turn to share how I'm building my motor dyno. A little late to the party, but I got to borrow from some of your guys' great ideas. The trickiest part is finding a way to attach something to the motor shaft. I originally was thinking to use a spare motor pinion gear and somehow ...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

I just might have a new problem/addiction on my hands. Good thing the wife only sees about less than half of packages left at the front door. I work from home so even if she's home I usually can ninja my way to the mailbox and smuggle goods to the basement before she notices anything... Lol that's ...

He is part of the crew that tried to pass off a shady relabeled twister to bob stormer. Kinda known for relabeling and calling stuff rare that never was made

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - April 2021 ** Winner - TheDiamondOne

yeah towards the end of the month if its a two horse race unfortunately voting for anything else is a wasted vote...sux because if we were allowed two votes per month it avoids these issues Indeed, should've taken a gander at the votes since it was last minute. I don't know , if you vote blind then...
