Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

Anyone else refreshing the 40th Anniversary micro site link 10 times a day for updates? Asking for a friend  Loooks like some minor updates to the instructions page and a downloadable wallpaper. I can only see the pre-order page. Where are you looking? Very minor changes really…. wallpaper: ht...

Re: Tire/wheel recommendation

Thanks @juicedcoupe I see the brand JConcepts popping up a lot on searches. My TT-02B has Tamiya Dual Block K tires, which look somewhat closer to the J Concepts Double Dee or Barcode tires. The Tamiya tires seem not great on any particular surface I run but acceptable on all of them, but that coul...

Re: Greetings from Mass, USA

Welcome! For an RC10 runner with a 6 gear trans, the outdrive bearing mod seems like a must do to me. The original bearing setup with the outdrives seems like it gets sloppy/floppy and I worry about the outdrive metal gears then chewing up the nylon idler gears. I do the mod just by adding the beari...

@EmptyHand

Crawler motors, yes, but some of the best brushed motors on the market.

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

I’m going retro-mod on this and darn it’s hard to find current production (non-crawler) brushed motors for dirt buggies. Thinking the Tamiya Sport Tuned is the easy answer. Any other suggestions? To keep this on topic, a Re-re AE brushed 540 motor would be the icing on the cake for these anniversar...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

Mine just arrived, kit #1995. Note the number is not on the box so you have to crack the seals to see if you got a number or a box of rocks! Schrö-edinger RC10 haha! Parts are stark white, like over peroxided parts. Hard to tell in the pics but they look less nylon and more plastic. Manual is NOT in...

Re: #6007 RC10 40th Classic Kit

Reviewing all three manuals side by side, 2013 RC10 Classic, 2023 RC10 Classic Clear, and the 2024 RC10 Classic. Basically they are all reformations of the 2013 manual. The CC manual has a few errors (as pointed out) but essentially AE removed all references to 'thread lock' and added the word 'Clea...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

A lot more work to do still, but at least the fun part is out of the way now and I can start the tedious frustrating detailed part. 😂

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Try either UltraHiVE on Ebay or mciracing.ca.
UltraHiVE's are said to be more premium and MCI's are probably more affordable.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Yeah ultrahives are the nicest by far, mci just get the job done. Side by side there is no comparison. Louis doesn't have nearly as many flavors of sticker either. I did reach out about something custom, I'll let everyone know if it comes to fruition

“Made” some tribute motors for future builds https://tcphotos.net/images/2024/05/11/IMG_8121.jpeg anyone selling motor decals like these? I’d love to make a tribute AE 540 with a fresh motor. I just use MCI, usually order on 20% off weekends. They serve the purpose as I’m not trying to pass them of...
