if so its obviously very nice, but i'd like to know what paints were used.
and i only dye parts if they are stained from the sun or grease. i am a big fan on non-dyed parts but only when the white is REALLY white....
Just wondering how many OEM or aftermarket parts are still being produced. Back in the day you could build several different RC10's using only the after market pieces. How much of a car could you build today?

the only stuff i no of is oval parts. it's not vintage , though.
This car started as a bash together of parts out of my parts boxes. Basically, a huge collection of extras I've kept from the various RC10's I've bought, restored and sold over the past few years.
When you say you're going to convert the wheels, I assume you mean replace them? I'd hate to see you cut up a pair of vintage wheels. I love the old 3-piecers. Who needs glue? :lol:

Last night I found some aluminum front shock towers, milled motor plate, and rear arm carriers made by GPM. Just google GPM RC10 original. They say they're all made for the original RC10. Not vintage parts, but still very cool.

when i was in 6th or 7th grade, there was a local hobby shop in my town that had the typical tamiyas on display, but they also had one, single rc10 converted...

Back in the 80's, I got my first RC, a Tamiya Hornet and I bashed the heck out of it. I almost actually got turned off to RC because the local hobby shop was so expensive and charged a fortune for parts. Fortunately, a friend of mine got an RC10....
