Don't quote me on this but I think they might of changed to black plastic later in production. I know on the High Roller the plastic first came molded in that whitish color and then later on they switched to black.HotRodJosh wrote:RAD! Thanks for the pics.....so it looks like there is no upper "link" attached to the spindles...interesting.
Also, all my parts are black, shocks, towers, chassis plates, everything.
SK...is that your rig? I may be asking for more pics as I go....

I would have to agree about them changing to black later, but the only thing that is odd is that I have a new MRP High roller in the box and the box art has a black one, but the kit inside is the white nylon.. The other thing is that all of the adds for the High roller are the black plastic one.. Odd..

Lately have been rebuilding a lot of MRP cars and trucks. They are too cool.

I have a pro-110 also. Is all black. I have the manual if you need it. I am new so I can not post pics yet... But if you PM me I can send it to you. The other pro-110 pics on here do not look like mine either. On mine the motor is inboard and everything is black. I do have some spares so let me know what you need. I also have a couple of front bumpers, NIB. They are also black. I could use a close up pic of the sticker sheet, and a copy of your Stage II manual. I am also looking for body, driver, and wing.

I do have the manual for the Pro-110. I just Emailed to another member. Let me know if you would like it as well. I do have some spares for the car, if you need any. I was wondering if you could scan the sticker sheet and stage II manual for me? I am looking for a body, and wing. Thanks.

Haha..no worries.
I've never seen a High Roller with black plastic....interesting.
My sticker sheet has been used.
I'll have to find a way to scan the Stage II manual, as I don't have a scanner myself.
I do need the outboard gears on the trans.
The motor can be mounted either way....old_rc_lover wrote: On mine the motor is inboard and everything is black. I do have some spares so let me know what you need. I also have a couple of front bumpers, NIB. They are also black.

Re: Scored an MRP Pro-110 never assembled, but need help!
Hello everyone, I'm new here because I found this thread about the Pro-110 and Stage II. I realize this is an old thread, but I have a couple Stage IIs and am planning to begin racing one again as part of a vintage class with my local track. I would really be thrilled if I could find some more extra parts for the anticipated 'uh-oh' moments. If anyone has any Pro-110 or Stage II parts that they'd be interested in selling/donating/trading, please let me know. You can contact me here or by email at [email protected]. I am interested in all the parts, but most particularly in the rear upright supports that the trailing arms pin to, the front upright supports that the A-arms pin to, dogbones, dogbone cups that mount to the transmission and especially the middle outdrive gear that the motor pinion meshes with. I know I probably haven't named any of those parts correctly, but I don't have my manual in front of me and its been a long time since either of these vehicles have been played with. I did really well racing with one of these back in the early 90s as did another guy that gave me his when he retired it. I'm really looking forward to picking up where I left off.

Re: Scored an MRP Pro-110 never assembled, but need help!
My apologies. I read the rules, but it never occurred to me that I was violating one. I'll keep it on topic this time.
I recently acquired an MRP Pro 110 in good condition. I'm planning on cleaning it up and keeping it as a nice shelf racer. It even came with an unpainted/untrimmed body with the original decals and the mechanical speed controller! I may upload some photos of the process just for fun. But on another note, is there supposed to be anything holding the rear of the body down or is it just held down by the wing? Also, was it more common for the motor to be rear or mid mounted? In all the photos I have seen with the body on, the motor is always mid mounted. I also find it interesting that in my Stage II manual, I don't recall it ever mentioning that the motor can be mid mounted, though I believe that it can be on the Stage II as well. Now if I could only find a Stage II body, I'd be all set. One last question that I think should be ok to put here, are there any particular tires that work well on the original wheels? The tire size and mounting method is a bit out of the norm and my local hobby shop doesn't carry much in the way of buggy tires, so I'd be flying blind if I decide to order new tires.
I also just want to add in that I am fascinated by the engineering and construction of these MRP cars. There just weren't any other vehicles quite like them. I wonder if there is a good reason for that...
