AYK chassis - may be a Roadrunner (25 Sept20)
I picked this up a while ago and I think this may be an AYK chassis . I don't know what car it was made for either .
It came with an AYK 3000 expert instruction book, but I don't think that what this chassis is.
Anyone recognize it?

Re: An AYK chassis I think ?
AYK did make some pan cars, and they were fond of using those red ball-ends, but I can't help further with the I.D.

Thanks Coelacanth, I thought those red ball ends looked like AYK. I have a Buffalo with them as well, but wasn't sure if another Japanese RC company may also have used them.Coelacanth wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 11:33 am AYK did make some pan cars, and they were fond of using those red ball-ends, but I can't help further with the I.D.

Re: An AYK chassis I think ?
I've done more interenet reaserch , and now believe this chassis may be part of the Road Runner series of 1:12th pancars from AYK .
I have no idea what body fits this chassis , but the 2 up rights on the alloy motor cage look to be a for a wing.

Re: An AYK chassis I think ?
Great I've had some success . I found this Japanese site and what I have (I think) is a AYK NX201R Roadrunner from 1984 . Well 2 x chassis and both may be variants of the Roadrunner.

Here is the other chassi I have - and it looks even closer to the Roadrunner chassis on that site.

Re: An AYK chassis I think ?
Kyosho also had red ball-ends, back with the original Optima & Ultima, and probably other cars that used their red shocks back in the day. Kyosho only used them as shock-ends, as far as I know, whereas AYK used their red ball-ends for just about everything.mirrorman wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 10:33 pmThanks Coelacanth, I thought those red ball ends looked like AYK. That's an AYK NX201 chassis - nothing like the AYK Roadrunner
You can find more pictures of it on my site:

Hope this helps you out.
