Better than I expected for sure. Seller's description mentioned nothing of physical or working condition. I asked and they said its working and in good condition. Definitely looks better in person than the pictures showed. Very pleased with it.

And thanks for pointing me in this direction.

Had one of those days when one thing came early, another came late, and another came right on time for the same project! Love those days. Original motor, MSC, and decal sheets (5) for an upcoming build.

It was pretty easy and a quick job.

Toothbrush and simple green first. Then rinsed in sink with the sprayer. Next, blown dry with the air compressor.
Only the receiver was kept away from simple green and water.

Next a liberal spray with WD40. Then I blew off the excess with the air compressor. Next, set aside in the garage for a couple of days to dry. That was it.

Tires were the only parts that took a while to clean. Then they were treated with liberal amounts of ArmorAll tire dressing.

Saving the thorough cleaning for much later, more of a preservation thing for now.

I usually used simple green and dawn to clean the parts but they never have that kind of shine to them. I'm gonna have to get medieval with that wd40

A started, but never completed, assembly of a '91 Bolink Sport. A few small parts are missing, but an extra MSC and motor are nice. I bought three of these NIB from a closed LHS dealer about 33 years ago for about $60 a pop, but sold them off around 2006 because I thought I was done with the onroad RC car hobby. Yea, kinda kick myself for that now!

This came in the mail today. A lucky find.
Looks to me as though this car never saw anything but a shelf :D
Not even a scratch to be found.
Tires are not glued, no dirt/dust, super clean box. trinity x star parental advisory motor.

Got a nice eclectic lot in the mail, finally.....
20211015_203204.jpg
- Three pairs of 1:8 mounted foam rears, yellow wheels with a three-hole attachment
- Two pairs of NIP AJ's 1:8 RC Racing Slicks (rears)...
- Two pairs of 1:10 pan car rear tyres with what look like new wheels
- One pair NIP Associated 1:10 pan car rear tyres (green compound)
- One pair NIP Associated 1:10 pan car front wheels
- One pair 1:10 pan car front wheels with mounted foams
- What looks like a 1:10 pan car steel axle
- Yokomo 05H Turbo electric motor

Love lots like this.... plenty of wheels and tyres for my Daytonas, and some 1:8 stuff to sell or trade (once I work out what it suits!).

This came yesterday , forgot to post it here because the parts are a bit of a let down , they are the two chassis parts for the Maui Samurai that I 3d modelled and had printed by Shapeways , unfortunately the dimensional accuracy is not as advertised and its about 1.5mm too long  they claim to print to 0.15% _+ but these prints are more like 0.81+% they are currently deciding if they will reprint them but that's not what bothers me , these are meant to be sold through them to customers and I don't want people thinking I've modelled them badly .
They look great though and fitted as a pair work perfectly .

I'm very curious to learn how Shapeways will resolve the problem Dadio. I think it's pretty clear the error was on them so they should make it right.

Anyway, today I received this Ultima II garage find in need of a good cleaning and a good home. I think I can provide both.

I'll replace the body, wing and decals with repops from TBG and MCI, however I want to alter the colors. Standard box-art for this model is yellow with blue graphics and I already have Kyoshos with those colors so I will choose a different scheme for this one. It's nice that MCI lets you replace colors for their decal sheets.

I'm also very curious what lurks behind that motor guard. Hmm...

Some very long awaited Optima parts from Pargu. He must have made them by hand...

Anyway I also got a pretty cool homebrew car on a pretty clean graphite chassis
