Also just checked the manuals. The top shaft completely changes after the rc10b6. The b6.x cars use a super long through bolt on the top shaft. B6 still uses V2 slipper
Thanks. Yeah, the top shaft totally changed on the B.x +, but the rest of it has me totally confused.
I made some Factory Works spacers work on this transmission.
I'm using the Custom Works hex conversion kit. All Ti hardware. I'm using 4.8 diameter ball studs. This meant the top steering bushing had to be drilled to fit the larger metric threads.
The front Dragon brace was stripped and polished. I was originally thinking of making this a blacked out build. However ElfBMX has already built an amazing blacked out B2. So I think I will go the black and polished route.
WOIN - One of the main reasons I wanted to build this B3 was to utilize these beauties. I'm a big fan of these Jconcepts shock jewelry and the Kashima bodies.
I had to get a little artsy with some of the pictures of these pieces.
WOIN - I changed the camber link mounting point inward on the carrier. Not sure if this is better or worse, but I liked the idea of being able to shorten the links as they were a little too stretched out, when in the outward mounting position.
I decided I wanted to add adjustability to the drag link, using this cool Trinity titanium tie rod. I widened the drag link to again shorten the steering links.
I added this AE optional front anti roll bar kit, using some titanium 2.5 mm screws over the stock steel.
WOIN - The temptation to cut up the motor plate was too strong. I decided to square up the top and add a few lightening lines. I don't have any machinery so it was done by hand with a Dremel and files. Its not perfect. It meant I have polished edges, which I didn't plan, and am not sure if I should make the lower plate match.
The Avid slipper fits. It requires the case shaft opening be drilled out wider, so the shaft spacer can contact the bearing.
WOIN - The rear end is coming together. I have this still sealed Trinity bulkhead brace that is a shade of blue that doesn't match Associated blue. It was tough to do to a brand new, hard to find part, but I stripped and polished it.
WOIN - Starting to get the electronics installed. I added a front carbon brace to the front, although it's not really necessary.
Stock hubs are being used for now until I can find some compatible alloy units.
I am attempting to install the esc and wiring as cleanly and as minimal as possible. It takes me a long time and isn't exactly enjoyable work, but hopefully the end result is worthwhile.
Here is my B3 factory team runner. Waiting on my v2 first version shocks to get here so I can do a quick rebuild on this and I have a couple new b2 bodies as well.

It is new built that had vintage electronics in it. Yeah I'm not sure I even want to run it.
Can someone confirm if these are the right tires that came on the factory team RC10 B3? Or was there something else that was special in a more exclusive kit version (if there was one) of the B3? I'm planning my B3 fun/unnecessary metal shelfer build...
Can someone please tell me the correct body and shaft lenghts necessary to run the threaded shocks on the RC10 using stock dimension shock towers? I have tried the touring car shocks on the front and they are too short. The stock B4 shocks are too...

I used the tc3 shock bodys and put the shaft from the gold shocks in them. Seams to work fine so far.
The B3 Factory Team Turnbuckle set works on the graphite, worlds and champion edition buggy, im sure it will work for the original goldpan too.

Thanks, good to know. I've never bent a threaded rod, so I guess the Du bro turnbuckles will do fine.
This thread will follow my buildup from an Early Cadillac 6 Gear RC10 in the theme of a FACTORY TEAM (Blue) car, inspired by both my Career as a Ford Master Technician, and the modern marketing of the AE products.

Nice build - Just looked it up. Love the color of the chassis, I like being different and not having my vehicles- R/C cars look like the factory made them. I always dyed all the nylon black on all my AE cars, before AE started making the parts...
Hello everyone I'm a newbie here and just wanted to post some pictures of my RC10T I just picked up off eBay earlier in the week. Im not to sure what version this is, but I'm sure its a sport version as it has bushings through out. I also picked up...
