Losi spring alternatives? (especially for 2.0 long orange LOSA5129)

Hi Losi team,

I've been searching high and low for some 2.0" long, 2.9 rate LOSA5129 Orange springs and can't find anything other than some insanely high price gouge eBay items. Is there something else that might work? Like off of the mini buggies or trucks? These springs were stock on the XXX CR and a few other kits.

Traxxas springs are very close, maybe slightly larger.

Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

I used Losi springs on a TRX1 back in the day. So I would assume the Traxxas springs would fit the Losi...

I had the idea to not just build the rollcage I got from optiman into a normal RC10 short, or extended arm buggy. I wanted to go a bit extreme, and Vintage AE's build was part of my inspiration including the long RPM arms and overall look of his....

- batter box foam?
- ball stud 'foam things'?

Has anyone ever tried running the long chassis (Team Losi LOSA9903) on a Losi XX Buggy (not truck)?

Wondering if the standard body fits? (roughly)

And how much longer it is than the standard chassis?

Planning on running a XX on a very large, 1/8...

The body to run would be the A8040 XXL one.
A very cool body and it'll sit better on that long chassis.
I'm sure you could stretch and Excellerator or an A8008 on though.

I'm in the process of collecting the parts to build a JRX2 - it's not so easy from the UK as all parts are coming from overseas - there are few cars and parts in the UK. I'd ideally like to end up with one of the early short wheel base trailing arm...

Yeah, I was surprised at Wheelspin Models when I found out about it through this forum. If you haven't already done so just put the Losi part number that you're looking for in the search bar, e.g. LOSA7, and all the relevant matches will come up....

Did the Early 10s come with 4 Spring Cups, or Cups on the Rear, and Unsplit Perches on the Front? Would Unsplit Perches be correct for Edinger?

the edinger cars has solid spring cups. the early ones had larger diameter cups on the back.

if you search for early edinger , there's like 6 pages of topics. a lot of them will answer anything you would need to know about what's correct and what's...

Hey guys. Took apart the transmission of my 10t to clean it up, assess the condition, and throw in some new bearings... in the process, I noticed my diff thrust spring (that goes in the drive shaft) is missing. I have one on order, but I’m wondering...

No, not the same.

It was probably a good idea to replace the thrust spring anyways. If they loose tension, it can cause the diff to run loose and damage it.
