Kermit is pretty well cleaned up, but now I need to figure out what to do for front wheels.

The rears here are Bandit 2474 pin drive wheels, but the matching Bandit 2475 are also a pin drive wheel. I would prefer the fronts to be the old fashioned bearing in wheel setup. Any thoughts what I might use?

JC Racing 5-spokes for Traxxas (2.2")
TRA 2671 (dished 2.1")
TRA 1775-X (2.1")
I'm not sure what the original Bandit bearing-in-wheel part number is..but they might be out there somewhere. And I've always thought that some Tamiya wheels might fit but have never confirmed.
I put this up on rctech also but I wanted to see what you guys thought. Not an original idea just something I thought would be fun to mess with.

This has been done before, but here's a project I've been working on for a while. It's a stretched Rustler chassis with Slash suspension and tranny. The wheels are Pro-Line Protrac with zero offset to bring the wheels closer to the body.

got any pics without the body?
what is the rear cage upper part? (i realize the lower is the wheely bar mount.)
Do any of the other cars in traxxases line up share the same gear box halves? (part # 2791 on the TRX1). I have found no other matching part #s. Just wondering if maybe there is another part # for the same pieces from another kit?

I am planning on building a runner, and I will propably dye all the parts black. this seems to make sense as all the replacements are black. I just picked up a NIP Composite craft wide chassis, and two NIP Protoform bodies for the TRX-1. I have also...
I've got about a couple of dozen machined gearbox top shafts for the TRX-1 which allowed the use of the RC10T slipper clutch. Did any other Traxxas vehicle share this gearbox or topshaft? Blue Eagle?

Yes . They use the early style slipper with the bearing but the later yellow slipper pad.
Using the same essential gearbox for basically 25 years now was smart of Traxxas. Once you get a gear design, there really shouldn't be any reason to change...
I have these and wondered if these kits would fit a custom build up im working on. Mostly rustler aftermarket parts i think, all the parts have no label except the traxxas bags in multiple boxes i just received 2 days ago.So you guys are more up on...

I feel that something that's missing in this area is a consolidated thread that people can refer to when searching for parts or mods for their TRX-1s. Before I go on, I am anything but a guru on the car, i picked up a couple of them and...
