Hi All,
Had a lot of interest in a Schumacher Shtogun when I was a kid.
I have a cougar re-re, and would like some Shotgun/Storm wheels.
HELP: Can someone please measure the offset of a set for me?
From the back edge of the rim to the bottom of the castle on the back side in particular. From the front would also be helpful.
I'm trying to see if can find a modern set that is adaptable. BUT it looks like it has a deeper offset than even say RC10T2 wheels.
Alternatively, anyone got a used set that runs true that they would be willing to send for cheap?

My Storm is the later version based on the Cougar 2000, and wheels for it were tough enough. You may have a hard time with the older ones. I ended up with proper rears and adapted fronts.
There are castle fitment to hex adapters available. This is a good choice for a runner. They are available from many sources, or you can print your own.
If you are on FB, there are 2 good groups you could join- Vintage Schumacher and True Vintage Schumacher, both with loads of Schumacher knowledge and lots of parts buying/selling/trading. The documents archive is pretty amazing as well. I think Alex on here uploaded most of it If you don't do FB, let me know and I will post an inquiry on your behalf.
So, in other words, I have no direct answer , but if no one else chimes in with a proper response, the FB groups above will help track them down. Best of luck!

Re: Schumacher Shotgun/Storm 1/Nitro 10 Wheel Help!
Hi there,
Here is a Storm wheel. Measures should be sort of ok.
From the back edge of the rim to the bottom of the castle: 12ish mm.
Front to surface of wheel nut: 32,5ish mm.
Good luck!
