MRC Sand Master
Hi,
After MRX and Santana, the next MRC car I have to present is the Sand Master, french alternative to Kyosho Maxxum FF
I still only have to find a few parts, and it will be complete

I love it! Very nice
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Re: MRC Sand Master
moi, I'm interested
This one was on my hit list for many years, then after I jumped off the French Vintage RC Scene bandwagon, I knew I had zero chance of landing one.
This is and still is one of my all-time favourites - like the Maxxum (which, fortunately, I have two of to make up for its absence ). Yours is really, really nice!
A+

Re: MRC Sand Master
Never heard of that one, but it's a very cool, interesting car, you've done a great job restoring it.

I can't see the pics here at work. But I have a Maxxum FF, it's one of my favorites.

Re: MRC Sand Master
Im also very interested in the French MRC cars, but I have no chance of getting one. I have never seen one for sale. Are they rare? Where they sold world wide?

Re: MRC Sand Master
I don't know if they were sold outside of France
You can sometimes see one on leboncoin.fr (french sell/trade specialized site).
MRX and Santana are less rare than Santana Pro and Sand Master, these two cars are very hard to find.

I've never seen them sold outside of France - maybe in french-speaking areas in western europe such as Wallonie (BE) and Suisse Romande.cyberfox wrote:I don't know if they were sold outside of France

They were MADE by MRC - not Model Rectifier Corporation, but Model Racing Car, a French company, as the name doesn't suggest. They were designed, and manufactured (metals and plastics!) in France. And most of these french brands had US-sounding names, the most famous of them being Yankee, of course (European & World Champions in 8th buggy in 1986). These were the days when the French and italians were leading the way in gas racing, on- or off-road. Then the japanese starting getting their stuff together with the Burns, and the rest is history, Europeans companies bellied up.
Either way, when the French entered 10th electric, it was way too late already, and Japanese and American cars were mopping the floor with the French cars.

Mrc was distributed in belgium. Flanders as well as wallonia.
i loved their 4wd, it looked like a lovechild of a Cat and Optima underneath the lexan shell.
