RC10 40th Anniversary tracking thread

Post by Brendan2904 »

I figured I would start a thread with Serial number tracking. This is to see where the range of serial numbers come from. Are all of the AE numbers low and outside vendors high? I'm interested in how AE shipped the 40th Anniversary cars out.

Probably a stupid thing but I'm bored so.......

Post Where you purchased from and what the serial number is or a ballpark number. That's it.

If you don’t think it is a good idea send me a PM telling me how stupid I am lol.

Something like this?...

https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?p=565626#p565626

I'm positive GoMachV is just offering free stuff so people will post in his thread instead of yours... :P

... Or it could be so everyone will open their boxes to determine if they are the winner all in a ruse to destabilize the 40th release industry and allow him to capitalize on the value of unopened examples of which he currently has a horde of!

...That last part could just be me being stupid... feel free to PM me if you think I am...

It's probably just me but I can't imagine buying a limited edition anniversary kit like this and not cracking it open to inspect the contents. :D

For those who can resist the temptation, you have a lot more self-control than me.

Actually I'm only looking for the top and bottom numbers, because that's how we will find out how many were made. I'd actually prefer the middle numbers not bump the posts just to keep it easy to find the low and high number
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas
Factory Works website

Exactly.

Should be interesting to see if the order numbers relate to chassis numbers in any meaningful way, is there a sequence pattern... or was pallet loading, even chassis number application, randomized...

I'll bet that stupid Tootsie Pop Owl knows...

GoMachs thread is a couple days old and this was created last night, so no.

No. Actually it was supposed to be the Chassis number and where it was ordered from to see if there was a correlation between the 2.were AE pre orders lower than the pre order from the LHS or the online store. Unfortunately that is not what happened here or in that thread. I started this thread to keep that thread as clear as possible of off topic nonsense. Even here I asked to PM me for off topic conversation to keep this thread clear of off topic nonsense, but here we are.

I would have to think they’re all, produced and packaged in Taiwan. I’d be willing to bet there’s no rhyme or reason where chassis numbers end up.

Yes, since Thunder Tiger owns AE, the cars are made by them in Taiwan.

I preorder mine directly on the AE website approx. 2-3 hrs after they posted the 4 min. ad on their YT channel.

Mine came late last week, #1645.

"a disappointment" is the best response to not opening that box.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.
