So a bunch of parts have arrived for the resto, a few are still on order. I hope to get some significant work done next weekend..
As you can see, I have some re-re parts and some original... This will be a runner after all

Re: Avante 2001 resto... yeah, another one!
That looks sweet! I think I am going to stay pretty free and lose with this as it is going to be a runner. Egress Hi-cap dampers that will go on.. Stainless steel screw kit for an Egress that will make all those screws look nice and shiny again! The wheels will definitely be the orange cam-locks and...

Re: Big 6 EP Lotus Elise
Alloy hubs!!! I need those.... any idea what the part number or supplier would be? We used to go to a kinda small velo type place... I twas for roller skaters. Was really weird, but was perfect for the cars to lap on! I wish I could find a foam bumper for the other one, it has saved the car so many ...

Avante 2001 resto... yeah, another one!
Looks like everyone and their dog has had a bite of this cherry.... Anyhow, figured I would throw mine up :) Background: In the early 00's I found a beat up 2001 at a yard sale for next to nothing. I bought it and rushed home to play with it... well. It just didn't run... missing a rear drive shaft ...

Re: Big 6 EP Lotus Elise
Those are pretty cool, I also like the simplicity of that chassis. But someone put the headlight stickers on wrong on one of those bodies...probably the front one, it looks like it's gazing skyward. I have never noticed that, but clearly you are correct! lol!!! I wonder how I can remove/r...

Re: Big 6 EP Lotus Elise
On my way home every day, I take marine drive from 122nd into troutdale. Along the way is a super nice parking lot that looks very fresh, and there are often people on motorcycles screwing around and once I saw an rc'er out there. I'll have to get a better idea of location but it has to be approxim...

Re: Big 6 EP Lotus Elise
Back in the day I used to run a quad15 in it. It was a beat up motor bought from the track I used to race my B3 at. It handled that fine. So I would say you are fine down to a brushless 13.5 and if you are careful a 10.5. Remember this uses the original cougar ball diff and has no slipper... In fact...

Big 6 EP Lotus Elise
Does anyone here still own/run a Big6? I brought mine back from England about a year ago - thanks FB for the reminder! Finally it is running and I am having some fun with it. So much so I bought a 2nd on eBay and got that tricked out! The plan is the bash around with friends in big car parks! Still ...

Re: Hailing from Portlandia
Cheers for the welcome. Premiere was fun. I live about 5 mins away so it was super convenient!!
Not holding out hope they will be able to find a permanent location in PDX... prob be a weekend "pop up" track type thing. Hope it works out for them, it is a fun group!

Hailing from Portlandia
Hi there. Been lurking here for a couple of months.... I am a Brit living in PDX. Been messing with RC stuff from a a young age. I bought a used Marui Ninja at a yard sale for about $10 and took that racing! Used a coat hanger as the propshaft and a soda bottle as a body! Fun times :) First real car...
