This seems to be a hugely popular thread on another forum out there, so let's see how it do here?!?
Simple, what did you do RC wise today? Pics or it didn't happen! Painted a body, rewired a ESC, mounted some wheels, finished a 3-year project...

Finished up my Blitzer mechanically. Front camber is off, especially on the driver side, which is perplexing considering it isn't adjustable. Maybe the caster block is out of whack. :?
It's not uncommon. These things have a lot of play in the...

Would 1/12 scale offroad racing ever attract interest?
We have 1/12 scale on-road class using 1/10 scale electric motors and batteries and electronics. Why not in offroad?
Once we get to 1/16th scale it gets to be a little too small, perhaps a bit...

Our local track saw an uptick in novice racers with the Losi Mini B/T2.0. These were kept as a controlled spec class, but many kids, including my own, soon moved up to 1/10 scale.
I get this is sort of a depends situation , but are you more apt to buy piece by piece r/c items or part lots? These would be used items also.

I scour the net for a particular part if I need it and also look at badly worded listings and generic things and have purchased a lot of items for just one particular thing. It seems to work out well in the long run, but you do get some stinkers...
Not sure if there is already a place for this, if not, post current sales and coupons that will help fellow members. I’ll start with MCI Racing. They have a 20% discount for this weekend. I wasn’t aware they made repro RC10 plastic parts and tires....
I have a vacation planned for Japan in the near future and was thinking to myself that it'd be cool to pick up something R/C related there that we don't have back home in the states.
So why not ask you folk? What would be a good R/C to pick up that...

So, I'm reading this article the other day about the future of R/C charging. A company was touting their technology which allowed over the air charging of cars while they were running, with a tagline like, Never charge your R/C car again! . And it...

The title pretty much says it all. Why did Kyosho's new Ultima dominate the '87 Worlds? Was Associated too overconfident or taken by surprise? Did the track suit the Ultima's design better? Was it all just down to tires? Any thoughts?

Just out of curiosity, how/why did manufacturers decide or settle on particular kickup angles for their buggies? The RC10 started with 30 degrees but its first major rival, the Ultima, only had 20. The JRX2 also ran a 20 but the follow up JRX-Pro...

Yes, but you'll need the appropriate hydra shaft for the trannies that you mentioned. Depending on the shaft used you may or may not be able to use the existing slipper backing plate.

Hello all.
What is the black top and bottom layer of a composite craft chassis made of? It seems to be a black fiberglass, but I haven't found any black fiberglass fabric nor have I seen any kind of carbon fiber with that type of canvas weave.

Yes sorry, my mistake. Unidirectional is often layed out in isotropic patterns for strength, as Phin said.
So one of the projects I have wanted to try is making a carbon fiber chassis. This will have 2 steps: making a mold then making the part.
I had in the past tried creating a 'buck' for molding. I simply lack the skill and workspace to make an...

Outside finished. There is one dry spot that did not get enough resin.
The chassis weight in at 4.4oz vs 4.8 for the stock. It’s going to loose a little more when fully trimmed down. It’s not exactly a huge weight savings.
Any experience on how long Us customs is currently taking? I have an item shipped from Canada, and it’s been sitting in Customs since 3/28/23. I contacted the postal Service, and they couldn’t provide any other info.

For whatever reason, packages from Canada seem to take longer than any other.
While packages from Great Britain seem to zip right through.

That actually makes relative sense, as the kit is based off a Tamiya M02 - they came with S-Grip tyres on the rear, which were different to the stock fronts...

If the stealth holes are drilled and countersunk properly, there's no way to know what it started as. Especially if they countersunk the motor guard holes too.
Thanks. So the chassis blanks are the same and only the pattern that changed.

Do you have any preferred or recommended places to shop for RC in Hong Kong?

Thanks for the advice all. As luck would have it, many folks in Hong Kong take the Christian holidays off! I found out the hard way lol, no rc buying, a nice walk around the city...maybe a good thing.

Hey all. I am looking for some black or white colored springs in 2 & 2.5 lengths that will fit Losi XX/XXX series shocks.
What other brands/models springs may be a good fit?
Thanks for your help!

They are a little bit larger than regular Associated springs, right?
If so, Traxxas Ultra shock (common plastic ones) springs should be close, maybe a touch larger. They are available in several colors as well as aftermarket options.

The bummer about building up from parts is that the little stuff holds up projects. Things like E-clip hinge pins. I can probably make some out of steel rod, but if there's a commercial source I'd rather buy them and they will probably be nicer than...

For the rear inner hinge pins, RPM is selling them (#70590). I actually need those, so that's a good thing. I'll have to watch for the JC Racing production.
