Bellow is a Yokomo Timeline of all the Yokomo Off-Road cars that I am aware of. I have heard of other versions (not listed below) such as the 'Craig Drescher' Version but I cannot personally confirm the release of such models ( Maybe there is...

Not sure if this has been posted here but thought this was a cool video from the '87 IFMAR Worlds, skip to about 4:23 to see Pops Losi discussing the Yokomo C4:
For the Concourse paint judging, stepping on the cars to point to them just kills me....
First I want to start off with a thanks to all the forum members who have put up and are about to put up with  a number of questions regarding this restoration project. Forum member 59Burst was kind enough to sell me this car and shipped it all...

Pretty sure the servo you are after is a ko 1001 fet servo (you can see the blue wire) there is also a 1003 but it came with a brass final gear which i think you might be able to see against the white servo horn?
Started my works 91 Project recently, built comes Nicely together. Donor car Was original with Lots of spares.
Will use the original shocks.

Some general built information:
- used Associated ballcups or RPM (on the steering)
- uses FAN RC front arms and original (NIP) rear arms
- FAN RC bulkheads and middle shaft with slipper unit (no one way anymore)
- steering knuckles are from...
This is my vintage 1980s Yokomo Super Dog Fighter buggy unveiled in 2023. This build is 90% complete with period-correct batteries and electronics.
I prefer the look of a lay-down receiver configuration. This allows just enough space for a...
Here are higher-quality pictures from RC magazine for Yokomo Super Dog Fighter fans with more detailed google translations. Enjoy! I'm happy my local library subscribes to this magazine :)
What suggestions do you have for their possible reissue?...

I hope they follow through on this. YZ10 prices have gotten insane and it'll be great to have a supply of harder-to-find parts which don't cost my soul.
Some things on my wish list for an 870 re-re:
1.) Slotted rear bulkhead mounting holes on the...
So this is my best (and cheapest) Yokomo find yet!
It didn’t look like much at first glance but after having a closer look I noticed it’s originality and the lack of track dirt!
Of course the paint job and wheels combination looks super ugly but...

First stage complete!
The wheels turned out to be the original kit wheels that were brush painted black. The pink was protected by the paint so it’s still super rich and not faded at all!
Gave the chassis a quick wipe down and the metal parts a...
NOTE: Much later I discovered that the chassis brace and shock towers on this car likely point towards it being a 1997 car and not a 1995 as I had originally thought.
While I have stalled on both the 1994 box art and the Kyosho Burns I was...
Picked up this very nice duke concepts yz10. Just needs cleaning and I need to make a new right side steering arm as this one was broke and glued. Trying to decide on pink or white wheels as well.
Nice rear shock mount detail (which is actually the same rock 'n' roll design as the Dunn Pro Radiant front end mod). The upper chassis brace looks to be comprised of two bars as well if you look closely - upper and lower....

Love the floating left rear wheel in the pics , who ever did the buggy insert on to the arrival must have cut out the rear arm by mistake 😂😂😂😂
Grasping at straws these days looking for another Yokomo project to keep me occupied and I started thinking (yes, it hurt  ). Given the current price of anything YZ10 related, there have been some amazing reproduction parts become available as...

The friends from Thailand came through again with the hard to find front diff bits. Honestly I think at this point almost all the hard to find parts have been built by them. If they are reading this, I cannot thank them enough for producing all...
Here are some pics of most of the parts for my custom works 92 build. Waiting on my axles to get here as well as wheels and wing and some misc hardware. It has new tub chassis, factory works towers and top deck, 2mm pitch belts, aluminum bulkheads,...

Ok I mounted the front and rear bulkheads and motor mount. Going to build center shaft and diffs tomorrow and install.
This conversion was advertised in very early 1990 in the UK RC mags, and it turns out the alloy chassis was provided by Racecraft (located just down the road from WASP). This is the only WASP lower chassis I have seen apart from in the old black and...
Hi guy’s, it’s been a while sins I started a building thread here at RC10 Talk. Not sins Drop Box stopped the possibility to link pictures… you can say that I’m a drop out… But now I will try to make a new attempt to make a new building...
While asking for compatible parts for my Yz10/870, I was approached with this deal on Facebook group. A used standard MR4BX with a TON of parts. One way diff, shock parts, arms, bearings, an extra body etc, to name a few. Worth it to me, and I got a...
Associated cars have always been my staple for the past 23 odd years. I always remember seeing the YZ-10 Super dog fighter in magazines and always wanted one but have never really searched for one either.
Big thanks to Hyung, DerbyDan, Cedric, Jeff, Asa, Lee, Peakey, Masami and everyone who helped!
I had a real headache sorting out the front and rear pitch belts/diffs/TCS, initially I was going for M2 up front and M3 to rear but then Dan and I...

Hey number 7 unfortunately Dan passed away a couple of years ago. There are some pretty knowledgeable yokomo guys on here so I’m sure someone will be able to help you out
Wow, I am sorry to hear that and my apologies if contacting him was...
I have little experience polishing RC metal parts nor removing rust from vintage parts. Can all of this be done easily by hand and a simple drill?
This is almost 30 years old and is in amazing condition despite the humidity getting the best of the...

I learned how to do gun bluing on steel R/C parts a couple of years ago and the results are always fantastic. It's the closest thing I've found to a factory style finish. Although the process can give a bluish tinge sometimes but that's to be...
Hey gang, quick question for you. Does anyone happen to know what Yokomo or AE graphite piece Masami cut down to make the custom rear extension for the rear turnbuckles to attach to on his 870? Trying to figure it out is giving me a headache lol

I don't think it was anything in particular. Just some flat carbon fiber cut to shape. Probably 3mm thick.
Here is my new Yokomo MX4 with Masami style painted body. This is a very clean buggy and all I added was new wheels and tires. I am looking for period electronics and motor.

Ok I have almost everything to throw on this I want to but still looking for one more set of the blue factory team turnbuckles.
Got a challenge, probably not enough parts to complete 1 but likely enough to get close to 2. Looking to build a Worlds and a non worlds. Then I am on a parts hunt :)

Cool. Old thread but thought I would respond anyways. I have a new built from box BX and one with the Worlds kit added to it. Both are shelf queens. I also have a used one with some parts that I intend to use as a runner. I will likely need parts....

Few more parts going on to the mock-up build now, and some subtle trimming and stickering for the Cheetah Dogfighter bodyshell. The rear bar and shocks sit within the bodyshell which is cool, although part of me does think i could dramatically lower...
I recently joined this forum after being suggested so by a facebook group. I've been looking at sales groups etc recently for a Yokomo 870C/YZ10. I'm quite in love with the shape of the car and the simplicity of the engineering so I...

Apologies yes, you are correct it is a 1993, a car I personally think is one of the best of all the yz10’s.
Does anyone have any information regarding these two '94 onwards YZ10 rear pivot blocks? the one on the right also has a cut out for extra drive shaft clearance.

I was hoping someone else would have responded as I also ran into this during one of my rebuilds and wanted to know.
Have to wonder if the one on the right is for something like the later model 95 years whereas the higher one on the left is for the...
I've just received a Yokomo 870c and I'm starting to collect parts for the rebuild.
Does anyone know the size of the ball diffs/thrust balls. I've done a search on here and have come across two answers 3mm and 4mm so not sure which is...

As above, the 870c rear diff is the same with a 35t pulley, the front uses a ‘95-‘97 front diff outdrive with a 870c pulley with Tamiya diff plates.

What size are the e clips for the suspension arm pins? I tried Associated 1/8 clips but they are too big. Are they M3 metric? Please lay some knowledge on me as none of the manuals give sizes for these. Many thanks!

Surprised you don’t have a response yet / yes they are M3 (3mm) eclips.
I was so happy that I got an almost complete 834b / Dog fighter with tires, gears and chain in great condition. Unfortunately the pre-owner was obviously a full time smoker right in front of the shelve where the car was stored. After...

It's virtually impossible to put a price on but between £375 and £575 depending on the day could go higher, if you put £600 buy it now on eBay it might go or sit there forever .
So I picked up a Yokomo 870c (YZ10) from a guy in a mega bundle deal and am now getting around to breaking it down and cleaning up everything before I figure out what needs to be replaced. So far it looks like only some hardware needs replacing and...

Hey just curious if anyone has created a file/drawing of the yokomo 870c steering arm/rear hub they would be willing to share. My buddy who makes parts for me has my pair but has been so swamped with business he hasn't had time to draw them up for...
A while ago i retired my Yokomo B-Max 4 Factory for a newer worlds version and created a Masami Style replica based on the car he used on the Thank you event around 2009.
I have just purchased a Bmax4 factory kit from Adam over here in Australia. Would like to spend some time getting to know this car and need to hunt down the original lexan that came with this first model bmax

Cio Vincenzo,
this is the lipo holder i've designed.....very simple....
i've made slots to empty the cutouts on the chassis....and bolted holder on the other side.
