Started my new wheeler build. B74.2d with 1up racing upper titanium screws, jconcepts turnbuckles, Associated aluminum lite weight center shaft kit. I will be running 13.5 with this.
A DR10 was sitting idle with only a dozen runs on it, each one ended with the car sliding on its roof.
After reading this thread I started ordering parts.
The chassis, shock towers, and front bumper were dirt cheap off of ebay. The v2 shocks,...

This is the build thread for the garden tractor class puller I've been working on. It comes with a bit of a backstory that I touched upon in the bored thread in which I'll reiterate here.
Back in July I happened upon a garden tractor class puller...

Good, glad that helped. Anti-sieze is always a great idea with stainless steel, regardless of the other material.
Picked this car up a while ago.
Don't know why but never took any good before pics.
Only got a few.

Inspired by GoMachV's Sandy build, I have started into a 3dsets Landy build.
The kit (pickup or hardtop) runs $40 for the stl files (or straight g-code if you print on Prusa) and it comes with a pretty thorough 110 page build guide. One great...

I keep staring at the pile of half done buggy parts I have sitting on my shelf, I just cant seem to get back into it right now. Maybe a winter project.
I don't know how many folks took advantage of the sale on the mini b race rollers but I did.
I'm starting this thread to put some information out there, and for others to add what they learn to it.
If you have thing to add please do.

Traxxas revo 3.3, and I'm asking again before this hobby goes to the junkyard with my sanity. Then the car just revs, and the adjustments don't help no matter how much you screw them. I noticed that the tank is not completely sealed, could it be the...

I changed the fuel tank cap gasket and at least that helped a little. But now a new problem was found, apparently the brakes are stuck, and that's why it doesn't move. How do I adjust the brakes?

Sticking this in 21st Modern, well, because, it ain't vintage to do this.
In February 2023, what is the easiest and cheapest way to get bearing'd hex steering knuckles (blocks) on a vintage RC10B1, without destroying the wheeltrack in the process,...
Got this the other day with my barn find. It's in really good shape even comes with the box and a how to VHS tape. Got to free up the engine and fix the linkage but it's all there.
From memory, which is fading, I think there was an article showing a product for a conversion kit. The kit was for the HPI Savage and maybe other trucks available too? The kit turned your standard 1/8 sport monster truck into a large 1/6-1/5 monster...

I don't have the magazine to scan, but Kershaw Designs offered a kit, as did HB Racing with the Truckzilla series. New Era also had one IIRC.
I just got a new RC10T6.2 kit and I'm almost done with it. I'm thinking of getting white JConcepts wheels for it and dying them Purple but I was wondering if they are dyable like the old school white wheels?

Ty for the link, I tried looking and couldn't find it (it was 4am and I was half asleep).

I'm just getting into rc and indoor carpet racing. While looking for a car I found someone with the rc10b6.2D that's barely been used. Would that be good for a carpet track or would I quickly be limited by it and wished I'd spent my...

I’ve been wandering this path too.. I’d like to race both track types but can’t afford 2 cars. Carpet is rough on ball diffs apparently.
Does anyone by chance know what the length is for TLR332007 SCT aluminum axles? The axle is just stamped with SCT . I am building a 22-4 truck and will need 94mm axles and would love to use the aluminum SCT axles if they are the correct length.

Excellent! Yeah I think I will pick a couple pairs up and just see.
I know this doesn't qualify as vintage, but I wanted to do a build thread on the 22-4 because of how similar it is to the XX4. It's essentially just a modernized version, and the last of the unique 3 belt 4WD buggies. Today all of the 4WD 1/10...

Here's my final RC project...A 1966 Massey Ferguson 165 ag tractor. It's entirely hand-built using a dremel, with metal from K&S and the local hardware store. The front axles and steering linkage are from DuBro. The hood is styrene plastic, and I...

Yeah the delivery date definitely changed....no rush here either. Been going through some of my B4's and T4's and refurbishing them. That'll keep me busy for awhile.

Hey all,

The big bores are still V2 design. The smaller o rings are the same but the ones on the cap are bigger.
The plan here was to build a kit form RB10. I am just not a RTR fan in general. I don't know the quality of the AE RTR electronics, but I tend to not trust RTR electronics usually. I like to be the one that torques things, adds the loc-tite and...

If you put a modern 2wd buggy from 2022 against a 30-year-old 4wd buggy from 1992 on a medium to high bite clay track who would win this shootout? This is assuming using the same tires and electronics.

If you were to grind out two new grooves 90 degrees from the original ones, then fitted outdrive sleeves, that would probably work well. Those things are HARD, just so you know. Dremel cutoff wheels would work.
