First and foremost, a HUGE shoutout and appreciation to Larry Doe for helping me make this dream a reality. Larry was kind enough to bring my car down with him for the IFMAR worlds this past week at Hobby Action Raceway in Chandler, AZ for me to...
Here goes my first XX4 build. I recently bought Shoman24v's beautiful XX4. I have long since admired this build, and could not resist the chance to own it. It is a nearly all new build.
However, after I received it I decided it had to have all the...

the only thing with the older buggy, is to work on them it a lot longer then the new buggy
I built this XX4 for a friend. I wasn't too concerned about having era correct equipment, but I loosely based it on something you may see in the early 2000's. I mostly just built it to what I thought looked nice.
I was building a pair of runners from several incomplete cars and my used parts stash and noticed some variations among the parts.
There are 3 types of rear bulkhead. The upper left one has been hacked up by the previous owner, but you can see on...

Early shocks also had a longer 'tab' on top, with the hole closer to the upper portion (not centered top to bottom). I don't have a picture as a comparison.
Hello gentlemen!
Here's my latest FB marketplace score! From the looks of it, there are a number of upgrades on this beast but I've never ran a jrxt before so I can't say for certain. That being said, I think I'm going to just clean this one up as...

Nice truck! That should clean up good. The upgrades that I see are.. Tecnacraft turnbuckles, ball bearing steering arms, Pure-Tech battery strap, Lightspeed Litesink and A&L Powerclutch. Also has AE antenna mount and AE battery box used as a esc...
Hey all, I picked up a JRX2 a couple weeks back originally with the intention of just restoring it but now I’ve decided to get her running in the local 17.5 class. First, a little backstory about myself: I started racing off road Production class...

More to come but this year's Kinwald Classic 5-link build is moving right along
Not going to be much more newbie than this series of questions.
This vehicle is a JRX2 or a JRXT? I know the wheels should be a dead giveaway, but there are a couple of things (body mounts) going on with this rig that say it ain't a T.
LOSI JRX...

Anyone have a Pro SE chassis sitting around that could take some dimensions for me? I am thinking about narrowing this plate down to SE specs, like the Cox Bros. and later Lavigna did, so that I can run an A&L body that I have for a SE....
Interested in buying some RPM wide rear links for the JrxT I’m working on, but I’ve got the retro XX trans which uses dog bones vs. the telescoping stock driveshafts. I’m worried with the additional width they might put the drive pins to...

If anyone has some they’d be willing to part with let me know! Thx
I am building this JRXT to go with an amazing painted A&L Roadkill body I have. I plan to build it in sort of a vintage oval racer manner, with short shocks and Factory Works towers. I think the 5 link rear suspension will go great with the body.

That is one cool build! The stance, colors, and carbon just look right, truly is functional art.
Hello all, I just joined up on rc10talk because I wanted to pop in and say thanks to clm and others working on pushing the 3d printed mods forward for this platform. Like many others, my childhood Losi became a mashup of parts over the years from...
Not sure where to put this so since the wheels are going on my JrXT I’ll ask here…. Got a set of front HPI super star wheels with the purchase of the JRXT, but the 3/16x3/8 bearings from the stock front wheels are too small for the HPI wheels….The...

Could someone please provide information on the front wheel bearing size for the HPI MT Super Star? Thanks!
It depeds on which adapter you have to use. Look at the above pictures.
So I’m putting together a runner JRXT and the original shocks that came with it had the normal broken shock collars and one of the shock cartridges is leaking a bit….
Wanted to know if I could use these shock bodys with shock cartridge A5015 and...

The JRXT uses .9 shocks front and rear (assuming 5-link suspension and shock tower). The original shock seal cartridges are a different length inside and out though, so when you use the newer style cartridge, you need to use the included spacers to...
Hey all, thanks for the help with all my noob questions so far here!! I just purchased a spare parts lot and I’m hoping y’all can help me identify some of these parts.

Appreciate the reply!
So x2 and xT have same rear bulkhead but the x2 has wing tubes? Thats the only difference?
Yes, they're both the same part. The wing tubes just press in.
Picked these up but no nothing about them. What years were these made, how rare are they, were they a decent shock?

Since nobody mentioned a date, these are in a Trinity 1992 catalog. I'd need to dig more to see if they came out earlier. I do know that Trinity had blue ano Clod shocks back in 1990, but they have a different design.
Picked up a very rough JRXT I’m working on restoring for a runner and it has a retrofit trans which is cool, but what does everyone do for the rear body mount?
The parts gathering for this build has achieved a critical mass and is ready for some assembly.

Replaced the used front axles, spindles, uprights and king pins with new parts. Also upgraded all the ball studs with Losi A-9945 & A-9947 titanium ones.
The last byggy I raced was a XX CR back in -97. I still have it, but I can´t get myself to drive it.
So when a XX showed up on a local auction site I waited patiently until the last 15 seonds and placed my bid. Won it at $90!

I got a tip regarding a Junior T for a reasonable price and from a neighbour country here in Europe.

I'm looking for a Tamiya paint code for the blue on the box art for the Losi Jr-2, Junior 2. Looks like a metallic blue , maybe?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

This wing is painted in Duratrax metallic blue, backed in metallic silver.
Well,it's all done, apart from a few touch ups and some decals I need to slap on.
Not bad for a test body .
It's a Team Bluegroove body,I came across and bought a genuine NIP Losi body while this body was all masked up,so I thought I might as well...
Here's my LX-T that I raced on carpet ovals as a kid. It's close to how it was back then, except for the .36 shocks and yellow motor plate.
I ran A&L Roadkill & BTS Liberator, Dahm's Ruff- E-Nuff SE and Andy's Lo Profile bodies. I had Trinity...

I thought it would be great to have a STICKY thread here where everyone posts their favorite pictures of all their Losi vehicles. This can help make up for all the lost pictures from Photo bucket.

Hello,
Yes, I've got a JRX2, but it still requires a lot of work before to be showable  As soon as rebuilt, I will post a few pictures.
I found these aluminum uprights for a XXX_SCT and was wondering how their geometry compared to the XXX. AS in, if the caster and spacing were the same. Any ideas?
I gather the SCT kingpin is longer?

Any suggestions on replacement Jrx2 rear tires? Seems like there have been a few 2.0” tires available in the past, but nothing currently. I’d prefer some 4 rows like the originals but would settle for almost anything that looks like it came from...

Never seen this before and have had a lots of them. Triangle center? I could see how it would create less friction yet still support at this common area for melting?

I'd like to start an official conspiracy theory on this. Needs to be a vintage one rooted in 1990 give or take.
After building my Jrx2 series buggies and setting aside parts for another build or two, I still have a decent sized pile of used Losi parts. So I have decided to take the worst parts that are still functional…you know..the scratched, faded, rusty,...

Does anyone know if the XX transmission braces with the ears or fingers on them give any extra strength or rigidity to the chassis or transmission compared to the simple little rectangular braces? This will be for a runner build with a modern motor....

I have only ever broken the ears off the transmission case just behind the holes that screw to the bulkhead. I don't believe either brace really solves that problem (unless others are suffering different failures to me).
Friday I finally got my new project in. The previous owner must have really liked Miller.
