Re: RC10T Monster
That's pretty cool. 8) The RC10T looks awesome in the form of a monster truck. The wheely/skid plate is a nice little custom add-on. I'm guessing it has a 27T motor? Thank you Actually I have no idea on the motor at this point. I glanced at it and went on LOL I'm relegating it to shelf status at th...

Re: Cheapo motor testing
Over the weekend I completely submerged the 10T in water with this motor and ESC.
It still worked but would accelerate on it's own, I put the ESC in a bag of rice.
The next day, pulled it out, reinstalled it and it works as well as always.
Still very happy with the combo.

Thank you very much, this info sheds alot of light on the subject.
It will help me make some decisions on my motor choices in the near future.

Re: Brushless KV and gearing
What vehicles are you running them in? Voltage plays a big part too. Do you use 2S, 3S, etc? At this point I'm just playing with RC10's. RC10T's and a T5M, but you just never know! LOL When you say the higher KV will run hotter, would that be both the motor and ESC? Or just the motor? I only run 2s...

Brushless KV and gearing
I've tried to read everything I can find on brushless motors. We have between me and my 2 step sons 5 brushless motors. Varying from 3100kv to 5700kv. The middle son is very interested in RC cars and is always asking me things. We talk alot about motors and such while wrenching on the cars. One ques...

Re: Cheapo motor testing
I run a 3100kv model of the blue one you have installed. So far, so good. Ill try to post back any issues. The motor will stand my 10T on the back bumper easily. I also noticed that it ran very cool, except for when I was making it push around the 10T even though it was running on the nose plate. :m...

Re: Looking for a (sane) brushless setup recommendation
A little update for me. I am running a HobbyKing 3100KV and 60A ESC in a basher and can't believe how well it is performing. It was more of an experiment than anything else. I paid $31 and change, shipped on eBay for the combo. If you look at the pics online, it is either made the same place as the ...

Re: Servo Survey
I have bought and beat on the following, Savox 1258TG, Savox 1251 and Power HD 1207TG.
All of them have done very well with no issues whatsoever.
I use full size on the RC10T's and the compact ones on my RC10's

Re: Rebuilding the 6 gear transmission.
Does anyone know of a link to a video regarding dismantling a 6-gear transmission? I can't seem to find one on YouTube and am having trouble visualizing how to take my tranny apart to rebuild it. HELP!!! I would love to find one too. My step son and I are about to embark on a 6 gear rebuild and upg...

Re: Old Carpet Truck?
It is super wide, with those tires, the width and a 3100kv in it , it's the king of donuts LoL. Go as fast as you want, turn the wheel and punch it. We run on clay alot, I couldn't find a spec of dirt on it when I got it. Loving the stability of these old T's they are a blast. But they seem to be mu...
