Re: RC10L

Awesome job! Maybe paint the wheels gold to match the picture?

Re: Reviving my pair in the stable

LOL... Thanks for that! I didn't look where you were at, so apologies... and your always welcome to visit the "right" side of the world here in warm and sunny Florida! Yeah, I went through their link and that led me to my local HS, but they don't carry stock since demand for them is really...

Re: Reviving my pair in the stable

Yup, I've been looking at those, but I haven't found anyone who has one for sale online.
My local HS doesn't have any, so I'm needing a source to buy from.
Know of any that are affordable and available quickly?

Re: Reviving my pair in the stable

Well I pulled the trigger on the AE axle and bearing the AE guy said would work. Now I just have to wait for it to arrive later this week. Probably will try to post up results in two weeks time when I have some more free time. New question for you all... where do you find the nicer 190/200mm scale t...

Re: Reviving my pair in the stable

Ok, I finally had a minute to do something with these two and not break something... First an update on the DS, it lives! http://i1266.photobucket.com/albums/jj526/firehawk_77/IMG_1373_zpsdr6kodfv.jpg I've added a new Flysky receiver, Castle Creations SCT Sidewinder, and a new cheapo servo and boom....

Re: Reviving my pair in the stable

Ok, I went ahead and contacted AE and they were pretty helpful as indicated. Basically, I should have the SS which had the narrow rear pod, so the 8501 axle will work…but this a pro-diff style and I will need and extra axle bearing #897 for the spur gear to fit on since it doesn’t have the shelf lik...

Re: Reviving my pair in the stable

Thanks for that! I went there and looked... it says that would fit an RC12L, would that still work?

Re: Reviving my pair in the stable

I really appreciate the help and I'll give AE an e-mail to check and see if that will work for me!
Will let you know what I hear back from them!

Re: Reviving my pair in the stable

Yup, I've been searching the 'bay regularly but nothing so far for axles that I can find. I couldn't tell by what was listed on the AE site if it would fit or not, but I appreciate your feedback. I will search the webs some more to see if there are other sources for this axle. Would you have the mea...

Re: Reviving my pair in the stable

That would be awesome if you had a straight one to spare, but I'd still like to know if the one in the link above would work.
Especially since I seem not to know my own strength.

Re: Reviving my pair in the stable

Ok well, I managed to break the rear axle on my RC10L while cleaning it. It sheared off right behind the backing plate on the axle... Obviously I wasn't too pleased as I didn't have another in my old box of junk. So, I have searched the webs and was wondering if this... https://www.teamassociated.co...

Re: Reviving my pair in the stable

Awesome! Thanks Dave... don't know how I missed that on Tower, but I appreciate the links!

Now to the DS, is it really that simple of plug and play the SC10 front axles into the DS steering blocks or does it take all of the SC10 parts to make the conversion to hex?

Re: Reviving my pair in the stable

Thanks Matt... I've looked at foams but what I've seen for the fronts are hex or don't have slots in them for bearings.
I agree it's not really worth the effort to glue new foams.
Could you point me somewhere for the fronts that would work?

Reviving my pair in the stable

Hello all, I've searched and found place for the help I was looking for to get my pair in my stable running again.
