Re: Disable Ignition
5.3 LS, correct? I believe since they use a coil-on-plug type ignition that you should be able to simply remove the coils from the plugs, though there may be a security or safety feature that could prevent that... But it's worth a shot!

Re: Many years ago...I had a idea...
Awesome car. Ive been thinking about building a Buggy with Frog front suspension and either a Losi 5-Link or a trailing arm setup.
I just wish i could find an affordable 5-Link roller or parts to do it!

Re: RC10 B-Stamp Resurrection.
Since i cant really do anything else, ive been working on the Tranny design. Still gotta mess with gear mesh and clearances a bit, but for a first print, i think it was really darn close. http://i.imgur.com/WpLE5Zu.jpg http://i.imgur.com/E8ka5bD.jpg I'll modify this Diff so it is sealed, and then I'...

Re: RC10 B-Stamp Resurrection.
Project is on hold once again. I ordered a set of rear hinge pins, and they were out of stock of AE ones, but had RPM pins. So I ordered a set. But they're too long. Woopsies. I'm also out of RC funds for a while, so until I can scrape together some dough for hingepins, it sits in it's box. R...

Re: RC10 B-Stamp Resurrection.
That's what I was hoping for. My Father and Grandfather are Chassis specialists so I have a wealth of knowledge at my side. Plus he raced for about 15 years with different variations of RC10s. In his opinion the rear wheels are a bit wide, but I just figured More Traction > Less Traction. Plus it lo...

Re: RC10 B-Stamp Resurrection.
Update. Wheels came in. They are RPM #81021 RPM "Starz". Yes, they are truck offset, I wanted something wide for brushless power, but vintage. Both the Proline 5 stars and these RPM wheels are 2.2". Plus they came with an awesome old school rpm sticker. The body will end up being a sl...

Re: RC10 B-Stamp Resurrection.
Due to only being able to sleep about 2 hours a night, I have to find something to fill in my time while I'm up, and try to be productive instead of watching movies and eating chips. Here's what I've gotten done so far. I need to figure out a way to mount the front buggy tower to the truck bulkhead....

Re: RC10 B-Stamp Resurrection.
Work on this project will be slow, if not halted for some time. My mother passed away while she was waiting for a Liver Transplant, her second one. She was supposed to have one in January but it didn't come. If there's one thing I can ask of you folks, please register to be a donor. Thanks to a dono...

Re: RC10 B-Stamp Resurrection.
Got some parts ready to buy. Going to get the Bandit RPM arms as the Slash arms put the track width too wide. I still plan on running the stock rear hub carriers, but I might have to adjust that plan for bearing and wheel size. Bought another tub yesterday, I plan on having two buggies ready to go. ...

Re: RC10 B-Stamp Resurrection.
So atleast I can say it has some vintage roots. Figured for the price I'd be able to make myself a transmission to suit my needs better than what itd take to make me a nice smooth stealth. Plus then it'd have something of myself on there, something I designed. Edit: Just bought some parts for the tr...

Re: RC10 B-Stamp Resurrection.
Began on the Design of the new Transmission. Here's a sneak peek at one of the parts. http://i.imgur.com/MeAGhnT.jpg It will have an internal gear ratio of 2.72, using readily avliavle (and pretty cheap) parts, with the option for an aftermarket sealed diff, and metal out drives and such should anyb...

Re: RC10 B-Stamp Resurrection.
Talked with some folks on some Facebook groups about my project, and have finally decided on a setup. The Transmission will be secret for now, but y'all may (or may not) like it. Chassis will become light. Light enough to be competitive in 2WD Mod Buggy at The Ohio RC Factory, I plan on doing this.....

Comm Lathe and Brush Cutter
Just bought this XiPP comm lathe, along with a brush cutter attached to a Joel Jonhson Motor, the deal even included a hard case and a Trinity P2K2. I think I got a heckuva deal for $25. Time to start cutting comes and brushes.

Re: RC10 B-Stamp Resurrection.
Some of the parts came in! Still waiting on others, but it's coming together. I will dye all the parts black to match. http://i.imgur.com/75jzfoD.jpg http://i.imgur.com/laU4r8D.jpg Looked around in my room for some parts for another build...and found this! A Futaba S28 servo, should do plenty for a ...
