Hi yeah the servo switch does mean that pushing the control forward accelerates...but backwards. I took a pic of the motor. how can i upload it?

Yeah it all looks like it's wired correctly. It's soldered and hasn't been changed since I last used it.... Is it possible something else is going on?

Hey, yeah if I plug it into channel 2 the motor spins up and is controllable, but only backward! Pushing the receiver control forward only seems to brake.

Hi, I decided to resurrect my old zxr mk2. When I switch it on the light on the speed controller is solid red. The servo works fine but the motor respond to the transmitter.
