Re: Is this a mad idea?
Why will the tub not be competitive? Why will it steer more with a front sway bar? G CF Chassis: Weight has always been the enemy of any type of racing, and the old gold tub design is a little on the heavy side. Going to a graphite chassis will shave a bit off. I always liked the Composite Craft fo...

Re: B4 vs Original Gold Tub
The 6 gear tranny adds friction and an inconsistent diff/slipper action. I'd wager that a lightened tub / stealth / wide front end original RC10 would be a lot closer than 3 seconds, maybe even faster on certain tracks. What I detest about the newer cars is the lack of customize-ability. Your batter...

Re: rc10 mid motor
You also need to flip the spur gear to the other side, or your buggy will go backwards when you pull the trigger.

Losi body question
Anyone try to fit a Losi XX body to a JRX2 with the 5 link suspension? The side pod on the XX body seems to have an arch that might accommodate the 5 link suspension mounts.
Thanks,

Slipper kit for 1st gen stealth
Is there a kit to add a slipper to a 1st gen stealth, or do I need to buy all of the individual parts?
Thanks,
Bob

Re: A & L Scorcher
13 Double motor and a Tempest Max ESC with working taillights on the body. It's actually a prop for an independent film I'm working on. Other props will be a pair of custom Tamiya HumVees and a Fast Attack Vehicle.gmc572 wrote:really nice !!! lovin the front bumper, what are you using for motor and esc?

Some body-on and detail pics (w/o battery so the car is up a bit). The Wheelbase is 9 3/4". Bumper and wheelie bar will be chromed.

Re: What body is this?
The NIP Bolink that I have (BL 2399) has a oil cooler, doghouse, and air cleaner molded into the back. The rest of the body looks identical to the picture so I would assume both were pulled from a mold made from an actual Rough Rider. The Rough Rider had a hole back there, so how the company chose t...

Re: my runner maybe scorcher
Well you have the stealth tranny, which is good. If you go scorcher with it you should get the original (short) front arms as the longer units will ruin the effect. If you do a lexan body see if you can find an RPM body mount for the RC10T. You can mount the cross bar on the top of the shock tower w...

Re: Vintage cars to race
Sarasota. In High School (~88) I worked at H&H Hobbys on Tamiami Trail. We has a track on Fruitville Rd for one season and also raced clay oval in Arcadia. On the oval I raced a MIP gearbox RC10 that I converted to a sprint car. The rear end would slide out just like the real ones do and it woul...

Re: How to repo a body...
Maybe you could shoot an E-Mail to Gary McAllister and ask him the best way to go about it... Hell, if you make a good permanent mold according to his instructions he might buy it off of you.
